Weekend Concept #126: Bad Uber experience.

Hi everyone, hope you had a lovely Sunday?

Have you ever had a bad, frightening or funny Uber Car or Uber Eats experience? In at least 400 words, explain the situation, what happened, why and how it turned out. This needs to be a real experience, not a fictional story but can have happened to you or someone you know.

So, I saw this prompt and immediately remembered the one time I met a very annoying Uber driver.
A few months ago, my sister in-law and I were on our way back home from "dropping" my elder brother off at the airport, we came out from the airport terminal and booked an Uber that'll take us home directly, from the moment he was booked I sensed trouble.

This Uber guy was inside the airport (very close to where we were standing) when we booked but instead of driving directly to us, he told us to walk to another terminal (terminal 3 or so while we were at the first terminal, there was no law that says he can't meet us there) we decided to walk down there to meet with him but on getting there, he was nowhere to be found, we called and he said he left there already so we should go back to where we were standing before. Okay, it's no big deal, Let just walk back (a little exercise won't hurt) and so we did but on getting there, he wasn't there either, we were beginning to get worked up and so a security there collected his number, called and directed him (he didn't even know where he was).
That part was finally over, he got to where we were waiting and before we could correctly confirm if he's the driver, he was already complaining that we should get in the car and close his door, okay, that was very rude but we ignored it and confirmed first before entering.
His initial attitude should have given us a hint that he's not a good person but it was a Sunday morning, I was rushing so I could get to church on time and it was hard before we found a driver willing to go to our location so we just kept quiet.
Few minutes into the ride, we were on our phones, my sister in-law was on Instagram watching a video when this guy put on the radio, it was so loud that it covered the volume of what she was watching, I didn't know whether to laugh or get angry, we both looked at each other and kept quiet, he didn't even put a good station, it was on one Yoruba speaking station like that and even after telling him to reduce it or change the station, he refused and pretended like he didn't hear us.

He got a bit close to the market and decided to drop us there, we didn't mind since some drivers don't like going past there, after arguing about the price (that was clear on the app but he wanted more), we paid his ridiculous amount and instead of giving us the change, he said he doesn't have and CANNOT go look for change (he even had the guts to ask if we can't leave it for him, change that'll take us home?). No problem, we left the change for him and while we were stepping out of the car, he calls our attention and said "Won't you rate me?, STAY HERE and rate me first before you go and rate me very well o" it took almost all the willpower in me not to insult both him and his generation, after driving like a drunk dog, putting on an unnecessary station and increasing the volume that loud and ignoring us, depriving us of our change?? We should rate you very well??
My sister in-law just said "you're not serious" we both hissed and walked away. She ended up giving him a very very poor rating and complained of his bad attitude towards customers. We complained about this for most of the day because he ruined her mood for the rest of the day.
I don't know if this is funny or threatening but at some point of this ride, I felt each one, I've always been fortunate to meet good Uber drivers so this one time I didn't, felt so annoying.

Thanks for stopping by 🤗.
