Last Sunday I hurried to visit my sister and niece. They promised to treat you to a delicious dinner of Ukrainian dishes. There was to be borsch and dumplings. Who would refuse? Neither do I. So I quickly gathered to fit into my free two hours.
As I walked through the gates of Porta Santi Quaranta, I saw that there is a flower market on Borgo Camillo today. The street is blocked for cars. And the flower kingdom reigns. Flowers for balconies, gardens, parks. In large pots orange, lemon, tangerine trees. You can buy seedlings of salads, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, etc.

Минулої неділі я поспішала в гості до моєї сестри і племінниці. Вони обіцяли пригостити смачним обідом з українських страв. Мав бути борщ та вареники. Хто б відмовився? Я також ні. То ж я швидко зібралася щоб вкластися у свої вільні дві години.
Коли я пройшла крізь ворота Porta Santi Quaranta то побачила, що на вулиці Borgo Camillo сьогодні квітковий базар. Вулиця перекрита для руху автомобілів. І панує квіткове царство. Квіти для балконів, садів, парків. В великих горщиках апельсинові, лимонні, мандаринові дерева. Можна купити розсаду салатів, помідорів, огірків, кабачків та ін.
I decided to look at this variety of flowers, plants and trees later because my attention was drawn to the exhibition of vintage retro cars.
На це різноманіття квітів, рослин, дерев я вирішила подивитись пізніше тому що мою увагу привернула виставка старовинних ретро автомобілів.
I go to these events. In Lviv, such events are held in early June in the city park.
Retro car traffic is a very interesting and original part of world culture. Fans and owners of retro cars will unite in clubs and communities. They share experiences in repairing and restoring retro cars.
Мене завжди вабили ретро автомобілі. Коли проводяться виставки або раллі на ретро автомобілях, я завжди з радістю йду на ці заходи. У Львові такі заходи проходять на початку червня у міському парку.
Ретро автомобільний рух це дуже цікава і оригінальна частина світової культури. Любителі і власники ретро автомобілів об'єднаються в клуби і спільноти. Вони обмінюються досвідом з ремонту і реставрації ретро автомобілів.
Retro car communities have their own traditions and customs. They hold various events. One of such events is exhibitions. This is a kind of promotion of this movement. But this pleasure is not cheap. Sometimes fans look for old models, the original of which may be the body and some other parts. It takes a lot of time and money to restore a car. But then the owner proudly demonstrates his brainchild at races, competitions and exhibitions.
Спільноти ретро автомобілів мають свої традиції та поавила. Вони проводять різні заходи. Одним з таких заходів є виставки. Це свого роду пропагування цього руху. Але це задоволення не з дешевих. Подеколи любителі відшукують старі моделі, оригінальними з яких може бути корпус і ще деякі частини. На реставрацію авто йде багато часу і коштів. Але потім власник з гордістю демонструє своє дітище на гонках, конкурсах і виставках.

І не дивно, адже це представник триколісних автомобілів Morgan. Перший автомобіль цієї марки був випущений в 1910 році, коли у світі був підвищений інтерес до велосипедних автомобілів. Це була дуже проста конструкція, з двигуном автомобіля, що був встановлений спереду, і двошвидкісною ланцюговою трансмісією. Morgan на той час був дуже легким, швидким і економічним в експлуатації. З плином часу і посиленням конкуренції автомобілі Morgan вдосконалювались. В автомобілі поставили коробку передач з трьома швидкостями та заднім ходом. Це вдосконалення дало розвиток чотирьохколісних aвтомобілів Morgan.

Хочеться підійти і сісти в салон одного із цих крутезних автомобілів і ввімкнути пісню Beatles «Help». Саме ця пісня була хітом наприкінці 60-х. А всі ці автомобілі були випущені приблизно в той самий час. Тому тоді багато хто слухав її в салоні.
