Hello friends, I want to share my outing yesterday, those who have been following me for a while have realized that my new job is to accompany people on outings.
And since after the pandemic these outings have increased fortunately, there is a lot of work to be done.
Yesterday I had the good fortune to visit for the first time a beautiful village in Tuscany, it is Pienza, I think surely many of you know it, because even though Siena is near there, so many people visit this village every year.
What I do not recommend, however, is to visit at this time, because it is too hot in these places, it gets up to 40 degrees, better to come here in the Fall or Spring, then it always depends when one is free from work.
As you can see from the photos, Pienza is a very nice little town, I must say very clean, and the best part is walking through the streets of the town, where there are many historic stores and taverns where you can eat.
I took these photos early in the morning, because then the village during the day is invaded by thousands of tourists, and it becomes a bit unlivable.
One unfortunate thing I can tell you is that the restaurants here close at 8 p.m., we don't know why but don't stop for dinner at all, otherwise the shopkeepers try hard to attract tourists.
I loved the historic center, very nice, you can visit all the buildings with one ticket, and here are also the catacombs which unfortunately we didn't visit because they were already all booked until the end of July.
Practically in half a day you can walk all around it, and if you go outside the perimeter of the village, you will have a wonderful view of the norcia valley
From my point of view, it is a beautiful place especially for couples, a very romantic place with breathtaking scenery.
I hope you enjoyed my photos, and I hope I was able to tell you about the beauty of this magical place in Tuscany.
I have been to Tuscany several times (from Australia where I live) and love it a little more each time I go. I haven't been to Pienza but your photos reminded me of my travels and the time I've spent there. Great pictures.
sorry I didn't see the comment, Pienza is near Siena, it is a place you should visit
This place looks fantastic and full of history. Lovely photos.
thank you
