Oh how sad to know that the gift of your dreams arrived damaged, your parents must have felt even sadder for wanting to give you joy and not receiving it.
But best of all was the end of your story, being able to give your child that special gift and play with it must have brought you great emotions.
Life sometimes takes us on such strange paths but they have a reason to be. @sammie
It's funny, but I think if I had ended up with one as a child I probably would have mostly forgotten about it by the time my son was into play-doh. Playing with it as an adult and watching his joy as he giggled over the funny hair-dos was priceless :-)
