CCC Sunday: Cool, Calm, and Chores!

Happy Sunday! Indeed, it's a happy Sunday for me because of the Northeast Monsoon or "Amihan". I woke up a little early today and was met with a cool breeze of air when I opened a portion of my windows. I even turned off my electric fan.

I started my day by writing a post with my television switched on playing the shows I missed last night.

While writing and watching simulatenously, I also lighted an incense stick to savour the calmness and silence of the morning with a fragrant smell.

After writing and watching, I went back to bed to enjoy my cold pillows. Am I the only one who taps on pillows when it's cold? Lol. And even with enough sleep, my eyes closed and got comfortable with the cool weather. I woke up few hours later and hurried to cook breakfast.

I'm having bacon and potato omelette today. I wanted to finish cooking fast so I dumped all the bacon in the pan but it was a wrong move because it ended up popping causing oil to splatter around. It felt like I was in a battlefield.

I also ate the last apple in the fridge.

Tadah! I felt lazy to make fried rice this time so I convinced myself that I'm okay with plain rice.

Then I paired it with coffee just because it was cool earlier. I don't drink coffee regularly, only at times when I crave it.

After doing my laundry, I felt tired. I already ran out of my prepared meals for dinner so I have to cook as well. I thought of making aglio olio because it's one of the easiest to make. I used one whole garlic for this recipe and also added one chicken breast sliced into bite-sized pieces.

Then I drizzled the pasta with the last chunk of edam cheese in the fridge. I don't have parmesan cheese right now so I grated my last slice of edam cheese.

I love the garlic taste and tinge of spiciness of the chili flakes.

Of course, I didn't just make one serving. I made two servings more so I don't have to cook for two nights.

And there goes my Sunday. It started out calm and ended up tiring. It's still a good day despite it because I was able to do my chores and fill my stomach with the foods I want.

Thanks for reading!

Your breakfast sounds delicious! I laughed at your description of the bacon-frying "battlefield"—we've all been there with the oil splatter! At least you had a tasty bacon and potato omelette to enjoy afterward.

Thank you! I'll just use a cover next time. Lol!
