Week-277 Going Out to Lunch with My Wife

in Weekend Experiences11 days ago

Hello to the entire community.

There's a saying that goes: "He who perseveres triumphs."

I'm writing this because it's been very difficult to post this post due to problems beyond my control, and I'm not going to bother you with those issues either.

The most important thing is that I was able to post this post and participate in initiative #277, in which @galenkp proposes three topics related to our weekend activities.

My participation is for topic #1.

This Saturday, I went out to lunch with my wife at a restaurant we really like called "El Barco."

I must say that, every weekend this month and any day we can, my wife and I will invite each other to the celebration because we will be celebrating 28 years of marriage on October 29th. So, it's an excellent excuse to celebrate.

We decided to choose lunchtime because of the constant power outages, and this way we wouldn't be spoiled by the celebrations because we could take advantage of the sunlight.

This is a very cozy place located on Obispo Street, an iconic spot in Cuba's capital.

The restaurant resembles a ship and has wooden parts that, according to the manager, are part of a ship brought back from a shipwreck in Spain. I don't know if this is true or not.

Everything was very good: exquisite cleanliness, simple but pleasant decor, drinks for all tastes, and very well-prepared dishes.

My wife ordered fish while I ordered pork. We also had rice, root vegetables, salad, and dessert.

We had a wonderful evening and then headed home because the country has been experiencing heavy rain and flooding these past few days.

Happy weekend to everyone.

With power cuts, you never know, so it's best to make the most of the sunlight, especially for celebrations and outdoor lunches. This month is very special for both of us, so we have to celebrate it whenever we can!

So it is, dear @advesing.

With this critical situation I have become afraid to plan night activities and take advantage of the daylight so I don't feel bad about any inconvenience with the current.

Yes, my wife and I try to have as much fun as we can, but, October is special because on the 29th of every month, for the last 28 years, we live the love we built.
Thanks for stopping by.
Sorry for the late reply, but, the situation with the connection and current hits a lot.
Happy Monday and a better week.
Cheers and greetings.

You have nothing to apologise for. I know the situation well and have experienced it myself, albeit less intensely, in Argentina. Enjoy every day, that's true love!

Thanks you very much. Blessings
