Land Tool Update: Base PP Leaderboard, Aura Scrolls & Boost Visuals

in PRAETORIAyesterday

Another week passed and we have another small but important update for the land tool.
This one might not be the flashiest, but it’s a solid step forward in making things future-ready.

I’ve spent some time refactoring the code, it now uses the recipe of the deed instead of the old fixed construction it had before. This change makes the logic much more flexible and ready for upcoming updates. A lot of this code was originally ported over from the Python version to Next.js, and slowly I’m cleaning it up to make it more readable and maintainable. It’s a start, but it takes time!

Besides that, I’ve also been busy updating other small projects to support the new reward set, which took quite some effort this week. Even though I had a short break from work, I ended up spending most of it… coding Splinterlands stuff 😅

Anyway, here’s what’s new this week:

Base PP Leaderboard

This one came after a discussion in the team possible chat — there were rumors about land card costs and whether they might relate to base PP or boosted PP.
So, I added Base PP as a new column in the leaderboard, right alongside boosted PP, to make the comparison easier.
Now you can see exactly how much “raw” power your land has before boosts are applied.

Aura Calculation for Scrolls

With the new update allowing scrolls to be produced with aura, I just had the aura values for those scrols.
And honestly, I love that — finally, more utility for land owners!

You can now see the aura value of your scrolls directly in the tool, and use presets to test different setups and see how much aura they consume.

⚠️Important note:
The DEC cost shown for the aura is based on midnight potions, so be mindful when interpreting those numbers.

Updated Land Boost Visuals

Lastly, I gave the land boost dialog a small visual update.
It’s now clearer and reflects the latest info shared by cryptomancer, for example, Rationing now only affects grain, which matches what’s been mentioned in Discord recently.

⚠️ Final Note

Still just a fun hobby project. Built during late-night, caffeine-fueled coding sessions.
If something breaks… ping me. I’ll fix it. Eventually. 😂

That’s it for this week — a bit of cleanup, a few handy new features, and continued prep for what’s next.
Hope you enjoy the improvements, and as always, happy farming! 🌾

I like how the new features make the land tool easier to use and more detailed. The Base PP leaderboard and improved visuals sound really helpful for players managing their land in Splinterlands.
