Kamalapur station has witnessed a lot of history. This station was a witness of genocide during the liberation war. The railway communication system of this station started during the British period. But the stylish infrastructure was built much later. The station was inaugurated by the then 2nd President of Pakistan Mohammad Ayub Khan.

I have visited this station several times. The platform number of this station is 11.
