It's been three months since the Train Spotting community started and it's time we host our first contest everyone! The theme of the first Train Spotting Community contest is
My Dream Train Journey
Trains are a great way to travel and often it takes you to see some of the most beautiful scenes which may not be easily accessible by other means of transport. I love watching programs about scenic train journeys, many are on my bucket list already, and I hope I can go on them one day.
In this contest, tell us what is your dream train journey? Where is it and what places does it pass through? How and when did you first hear about this train journey? What attracts you to it and why do you want to go? Which part of the journey do you think you will most look forward to? If you go, when will you go and who with? What planning is involved in your journey? And better still, if you've already been, how did you find it? These are just some ideas to get you to start thinking about your dream but you don't have to follow them. You can talk about anything you like about your dream train journey. Just be creative and dream!!

- Your entry must be posted in the Train Spotting Community https://peakd.com/c/hive-170068/created.
- Original content only, no reposting of old articles
- If you use images from the internet, you must cite the source
- Likewise if you use any text from the internet, you must quote the source. Avoid using too much reference text as the contest is about YOU talking about YOUR dream train journey, and not writing basic facts about the train journey. I can read that from the internet myself.
- Be creative with your post entry title instead of just using My Drean Train Journey. You might get additional points with a good post title and it will definitely attract more readers
- You can post in dual language but one of them must be English
- The contest will close on 26th April 2022 UTC midday
Prize pool
The prize pool is 60 HBD split as follows
First prize 25 HBD
Second prize 15 HBD
Third prize 8 HBD
Honourable mentions 3 x 4HBD
If you can't think of a dream train journey to enter the contest, you can still post in The Train Spotting community. As long as it is about vehicles that runs on track such as trains, either over ground or underground, trams or funicular, its acceptable. You can also post about anything related to these vehicle, so the list is endless. You can check out the introduction post here for more information.
