Time to leap into Lake Atitlan!
Big things are happening down here in Guatemala at Lake Atitlán, and I’m excited to finally give you a sneak peek.
I just finished filming a walkthrough video of Ati Hostel and Beach Club.
Come have a look at where we’ll be launching Hive Hub Guatemala
—a physical space dedicated to onboarding new users and showcasing the Hive blockchain in action. In the video, I give you a peek into some of the spaces and the property.

For those who’ve been following along, you know that Hive Hub is more than just a cool name — We are bringing Hive and Hive tools to a popular backpackers hotel in a hip tourism hot spot out there in the real-world.
The idea is simple: Demonstrate Hive’s tools in an active tourist location, while onboarding users directly at reception, not just digitally, but face-to-face. Our big point of leverage, the Hive Debit card solves a constant issue here at the lake: That it is hard to have enough fiat change for all the small purchases made by guests throughout their stay. With the Hive Debit card, real change will be one tap away.

The video walks you through our roadside and lakeside cafes, and gives you eyes into the hostel, our new Hive Hub Club.
You’ll see here the spaces where we will be setting up everything—
from the burger café and creative workspaces, to the QR-code menus, Hive-integrated point-of-sale systems, and guest registration tools powered by Hive accounts creating a circular economy.
Tourists will be able to pay in HBD, locals can earn rewards for content creation and promotion, and the space will run regular workshops, live onboarding sessions, and creator meetups. It’s not just about talking Web3— it’s about living it!

One of the most exciting parts of this walkthrough is our stop at the Ati Beach Club, where we’re exploring a partnership to extend the Hive experience even further. Imagine people enjoying the lake, and while they’re sipping a drink or lounging on the beach, they can simply tap there preloaded Hive Debit cards and pay and even earn Distriator discounts for using the card and demonstrating the action.
All this is meant to be a training ground. The kind of subtle, experiential onboarding that can shift the hive culture into an already open-to-new-experiences tourist culture.

And more exciting news… @ninaeatshere and @artakush have agreed to come in early June and are clearing all obstacles as we speak. They will be key point-people for promoting Hive Hub/Hive tools to newly arriving guests. We are openly pursuing support from the community. You can help us make this happen by pitching something toward their flights, however big or small. So far we are at 900 hbd donations. We are hoping Value Plan may be open to matching any funds we get from the community who want to support this project and make HIVE HUB GUATEMALA possible.

@starkerz @buttcoins @jthomasewsky @artakush @ninaeatshere @thebombkids are the current team, all prepared to get Hive out into a real world experiment, creating sustainable replicable models. The 1st draft of the Hive Hub Playbook.
Join us, come be part of this!
All support will go toward flying in key contributors to help run events and onboarding sessions. People with real Hive knowledge and passion who can train, inspire, and build with us on the ground.

This walkthrough video is just the beginning. Think of it as a “before” snapshot. In the coming weeks, we’ll share progress updates, architectural improvements, and interviews with the team. We’re doing this transparently and community-first—because Hive isn’t a brand, it’s a people-powered protocol. And that’s exactly what we want to reflect in this space.

Thanks for watching the video, and thank you for your ongoing support. Whether you’re a stakeholder, a creator, a dev, or just Hive-curious—this project is for all of us. Drop your thoughts, share the video, and if you want to pledge support or get involved, hit me up in the comments.
let us know your feedback....any comments on this post will be visited by @commentrewarder 😉

The space looks awesome and so unique! I dig all the self-made things, the colorful walls and multi-level layout of the space. It has so much personality 😍

Additional to the beautiful cozy space, the team is very promising! Good job so far - I can't wait to see it all unfold and to see all the updates! Please continue to post videos about the project. I know it is way more work to edit and upload videos but moving images transport so much more than photos in my opinion.

Looking forward to all the updates and sending much love + energy!

Thanks Tibs,
Yeah, we love having artists that pass through put their mark on the walls.
I think we are a healthy mix of profesional and relaxed.
I too am very pumped for these next weeks and making this process action.
First part of the team arrives June 5th.
I really feel this is a moment for hive to shine.
All the pieces are slotting into place!
Now we action!
Maybe we see you here some day… I always find you inspiring and look forward to us being in the same place again! Where ever that may be ✊

I think you and the team will do great things for the onboarded people! More people should know hive and its potential 100%

Maybe some day in far future I can join you but for now I am not able to take a break from my day job and daily life. There are just too much things I need to work on personally and finance wise I got some commitments. but time will help me with this ^^ latest when I retire I am going to give you a visit for sure :D see you soon somewhere <3

I'm so jealous of Nina... this place looks amazing. Also, I'm pretty sure we would be rocking out some music together butt.

Yes, need some @meno on the Hive Hub Stage! If i think it hard enough, certainly it will happen 😎

Looks like a really cool place, bit of rustic and full of character. Great to hear that @ninaeatshere will be joining you, she's going to be a real asset to the team. Can't wait to see you guys start to operate

Yes, so cool to have @ninaeatshere coming. All the pieces are falling into place. We are are really excited to put Hive tools to the test in an already busy hostel and crypto friendly environment.
And yeah, Guatemala is rustic in general.
Many see our place in this village as the mid high end 🤣
its all about perspective ✊
Exciting to be so close to starting.

🤗😏 It looks like I'll get there with some very good references! jajaja

I love this, the idea is awesome and I'm sure that @ninaeatshere and @artakush will do their best as part of the team. I'm excited to see the updates!!

Thanks for the nice comment. Yes..im excited to have those 2 on board.. they are amazing!

Oh yeah, having a physical space to talk and act on Hive seems like a dream, we'll do our best and updates will be ongoing!😌

The place looks interesting. Hive Hub sounds interesting.

is the Lake and the place in the "Classic few months season" region? I actually know nothing about Guatemala :D

Why aren't you coming?!!!!!

it is across the world and my conditioning does not compute flying around the world to spend 10 day there :D maybe if i mange to go to hive fest this year i will rewrite it :D

Did you get there? (ignore this, reading the post :D )

quick help from my lazy ass, what does the Spanish lines say at the start of this? Does it make any sense? :D

Hey Bil, thanks for the kind words. Yeah, so if you are referring to tourist seasons...November to April is considered high tourism season. Then again July and August. The other months have less visitors. But the village where i live attracts a lot of long term travelers who come to the area and stay.

The place looks great, and I do not doubt that these two guys who are coming soon will contribute a lot to the idea of creating the HiveHub!!!

The vibe is already great, I can imagine how it will be when it is FULL ON!!! Hopefully, I will have a chance to pay a visit one day!

Yes!! Several people are talking about coming to visit mid to late July, after we are in fully swing.... you are more than invited my friend!!

Thanks! We will see how next year is going... This one is already booked with a tight budget, already spent... 😂

Beautiful place! I wish you success 🍀 and maybe this could be the beginning of massive Hive adoption in LATAM! Congratulations 👏🎉

That would be sweet! ✊

I'm loving this whole concept and watching it all coming together. Like the place in Poland, hubs like this are definitely the way forward, bringing education and community both within and beyond the Hiveosphere.

Best wishes with everything. I'd really hope that valueplan can divert the cost of a couple of tyres to support your project!

Haha, yes, we wont need more than 2 tyres worth. 😜 Pretty good bang for the buck really!
yes, you are welcome to visit this hive-o-sphere if it is in the stars.😁

oh man. its such an awesome pad. I am crossing my fingers that this project is a great success, because I wanna come join for wave 2!

👆
We are counting on it brother!
Need us some marples in this biotch!

Thats cool! Im looking forward to visit

Yes!! Get some sweet videos!!

Yeah, the place looks very promising and pretty cozy. But I think I'll wait until you build that Burning Man atmosphere, vibes, domes, pheromones and all those other hot amenities before I consider talking with the Valueplan bigwigs and convince them that they should fund your community project.

To be clear, we are not asking for any funding for the project. The Hivians that want to come and be part of this Hive Hub initiative are who are seeking help with flight costs.
But yes… dome pheromones are a must moving forward!

To be clear, we are not asking for any funding for the project.

Oh yeah, of course. Don't worry! :)

All that is pretty clear and has been already well described and explained in the content of your post. My comment was more in the spirit of manifest that if you finally are able to recreate the Burning Man atmosphere in Guatemala as I have suggested. That you can count on that I will talk and convince to the Valueplan honchos to also help me finance my own trip to Guatemala and this time with no need to travel incognito to a Hive event abroad as I've had to do at some HiveFests and similar events before.

But yes… dome pheromones are a must moving forward!

Marvelous! looking forward for those moves. Just let me know ahead of time about the progress to see what music I can bring with me to liven up the event there if Valueplan funds my trip and this time finally you can meet me in person without me hiding.

Beautiful place and clean.

Cheers, yes, gotta keep it shinny

It looks -you guys- had an unforgettable experience. Guatemala is one if the vast beauties that Central-America has. Loved to see this in here.

@ninaeatshere ... agreed to come in early June and are clearing all obstacles as we speak.

So true! It hasn't been easy organizing life in a short time to get away for three months, but it's done! There's nothing left to start and I'm super excited!💪💪💪
