When I was graduating from university, I was so anxious, and I was not able to figure out what I am going to do with my life. This was a very confusing chapter in my life. And I was looking forward to it because it was the next big thing in my life. I graduated from university in two thousand twenty-three, and ever since this next chapter has started, it has not been easy for me.
I have been toiling, I have been struggling, and I have been making sense of everything. Pakistan is a very patriarchal country. There are so many baseless and pointless norms that people follow here. There is an overglow of verification of government jobs here. And whoever gets a government job is seen as someone successful. So, I have been giving this task to get a job for myself, get a very reputable job, some job with authority, and one of the possible ways to do it is to crack an exam.
So, this next chapter of my life is cracking the exam. It is called the civil services exam. It is one of the toughest exams in the country, probably the top toughest. It is taken in different phases. One of the phases, one of the first phases, is a preliminary test consisting of two hundred MCQs, and I have passed it. After that, I have to pass the written exam, in which I have to write for twelve papers taken in six days. Each paper is taken for three hours, and I have to consistently write and write and write.
Believe it or not, the thumb of my middle finger is swollen, and it becomes very tough when I am writing. So, this next chapter in my life is very troublesome, but the reward is worth everything. It is now become a dream for me to pass this exam, and I am doing everything possible for that to crack this exam. I am living away from my family, and I am living in Islamabad, as I have mentioned in previous blogs. And I mostly live in the library and in isolation; there are not many friends, and the social circle that I had has shrunk very rapidly.
And I know that if I pass this exam, the legacy I am going to create is unmatchable, and it will be an example. It will be inspiring, and all the things that people will have to offer, one of them is the respect. When I started this chapter in my life, I was getting so much respect because of the legacy, the respect that this exam itself holds. Even the aspirants of this exam are seen with respect. So, this may come out to be conventional, but I am giving it everything I have to make a mark, make a purpose, and be a successful person in my life.
I am going to appear in the exam in the month of February. I really hope that I clear this exam and get to where I desire to be. If this exam is cleared, I can finally move to the next chapter in my life.

I think what makes it tough is not the fact that the exam is difficult, but the fact that there are more candidates than the available jobs. So in other filter out people for the limited jobs, you guys have to compete with each other. And only the best and some other people who have connections. But I wish you good luck.
