Hello @pavanjr, The concept of a shadow existence has appeared as a theme in literature for centuries. There's even a vocabulary to describe the idea of an alternate, mirror reality: Déjà vu and Doppelgänger, for example. Quantum physics has given us another term to describe this alternate reality: parallel universe.
In your story you effectively use the device of a mirror on which the narrator can focus his obsession with unreality, or dual reality. Of course, we don't know if there is an actual mirror, a symbolic mirror or an imagined mirror. It doesn't matter, because the narrator feels compelled to break through. When you write these lines
I am going to break this glass that divides us
We understand there will be some kind of cataclysm. Whether this will be an actual breaking of glass or a psychological rupture, the act will have a dramatic effect on the course of the narrator's life.
Your story is an interesting exploration of an existential dilemma.
Hello friend!, I love that you have understood it very well, I think that the mirror is more imaginative, psychological and at the same time literal, because it says ''that it hierarchizes and judges us''.
Thank you for reading my story and paying attention to the details, I really am thrilled to post here, they are wonderful!
Hello fellow writer :)
It is a pleasure to read your material. Keep writing!
