2020, what else ya got? Four more months to surprise us!

He died suddenly, sending shock waves all over Facebook,

and through all his network of family, friends, and loved ones.

Pastor Vincent Joseph Trigili, age 45, of Baden, passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of his home on Monday, August 24, 2020.

He was a quintessential Good Guy.

A pastor. A software engineer. An author.

He was an avid runner with several marathons under his belt. Vincent was always getting something done and lived with purpose. He possessed a quick wit and a unique sense of humor, an often-different way of looking at things. An excellent strategist, it was always a challenge trying to beat him at any game. He was a devoted husband and father. He always took time to nurture those relationships, and “Saturday trips” with his son were a staple in his schedule, as were regular date nights and walks with his wife. Vincent will be remembered as a brilliant man, with a deep faith and love for God and for people. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Sharing because I just heard about this. 🙁 There's a fundraiser set up for his family here:

He and I both had stories in that little blue book, third from the left. (Hugh Howey is in there too.)

Now I'm searchng my Kindle for stories he wrote, ordering his books online, catching up, even though it's too late ever to commend him on his stories or message him. All I can do now is contribute to a Go Fund Me and add my condolences to the growing number at Facebook.

He just celebrated the unboxing of Book 3 of a series:

I'm off now to read more of the many tributes from mutual Facebook Friends. And to read his fiction. So many books and stories. So fragile, so temporal, this connection we form with others through the little miracle of books, and yet so everlasting when the stories take hold in our imaginations. In this, Vince Trigili lives on. In the hearts and minds of so many, he is still here.
