Youth in their eagerness to be famous or to get things faster, sometimes, make wrong decisions as it happened to Dennis. But he, after so many years and unnoticed, tried to give advice. Unfortunately no one believed him, only his jacket identified him.
John's father with his life story gives good advice to his son. And the bartender thought he was helping the young jock.....Every head is a world of different thoughts, but your story conveys good advice to the youth.
