Daniel and Jackie had been dating for long and it's their third anniversary already, they're really a loving couple as everyone adores them. Their first encounter was a during their final year in the college when they crashed in to themselves at the school's entrance, Daniel was rushing to class while Jackie was rushing to the bus station in order not to miss her bus. Their first encounter wasn't a pleasant one as they ended up having a quarrel, they both keep blaming each other over who's responsible for the collision.
However, their second encounter was Daniel helping the already injured Jackie into the infirmary. The unpleasant experience they had with each other was replaced with a pleasant one and a kind gesture. Daniel discovers she turns out to be a pretty lady and Jackie was feeling exactly the same way. They crossed paths few more times and they eventually became friends. That was how their relationship developed into a romantic one.
Daniel plans to propose to her on their third anniversary, they have come together thus far and it's time they finally get together. However, things become very complicated when Jackie begins to feel indifferent towards Daniel, her attitude and conversation with her speaks it all. Daniel thought she was feeling upset or unwell about something and decided to ask her about it but she claimed there's nothing wrong with her. After few days, she finally let the cat out of the bag. Daniel could feel his world crumble down, he could see the world and future he dreamt of coming down, every of his plan with Jackie has turn down the drain. Jackie informed Daniel that he is no longer interested in him. Daniel could guess where the problem was from. There were rumours flying all over about his sister's death. The truth is that, Daniel had a twin sister whose name was Daniella, she died five years ago due to blood cancer. At first Daniel didn't tell Jackie about it because he wasn't happy talking about her dead sister but as they begin their relationship, he decided to tell her because of the rumours about her death and that he was scared that rumours would affect her relationship with Jackie.
After all being said and done, Jackie allows those rumours to affect her love life. The flying rumours was that was that Daniella died of an incurable disease in their family, which is hereditary, whereas she died of blood cancer. Jackie was scared of what people were saying that Daniel might die anytime soon because of their incurable disease in their family. It was a bitter experience for Daniel, they have gone together to end up like this, he thought Jackie of all people would understand.
Few months later, Jackie eloped with another guy and they got married, it looks like she was already planning the marriage before. She got married to the second son from a billionaire's family, one of the richest family in the country. The truth is that Jackie had once hungered for that position but Daniel didn't take it serious as she stopped talking about it.
Daniel started drinking heavily due to this break up, he loved Jackie so much but she abandoned him. He decided to end his life when the drinking was not working. The pain was too much to much for him to bear, but her mother rescued her in the dying moment.
After recovery, Daniel decided to take revenge on her, it's obvious she cheated on him and that was the only remedy Daniel could think of at that moment. Probably that could heal his broken heart. The appetite for revenge arose in him greatly and he will go to any length to take accomplish his aim.
However, his mother intervened, when she discovers the heavy weight and desire in his eyes, he decided to let go of past and focus on repairing himself. He might have given up on love but he will not give up himself.

Well done, @royaldiadem. You have a good character arc. The development is realistic, mostly (perhaps the part about marrying the child of a billionaire is a bit far fetched, but the rest makes perfect sense). You have both a hunger for something and a yearning. Great! The conflict is at least dual. There is the love conflict, and then the secondary conflict of wanting revenge. Both conflicts are resolved by the end of the story.
