Nature Card Breakdown, Trial of the Gods Set (December 2021)

Sun Tzu in the Art of War said,

"Foreknowledge cannot be gotten from ghosts and spirits, cannot be had by analogy, cannot be found out by calculation. It must be obtained from people, people who know the conditions of the enemy."

Little did @entrepidus know what I was really doing. I would never betray my fellow nature brethren; it is only for our benefit. Thank you for taking up the mantle for the other domains and the amazing analysis; it is a tough act to follow. That said, let us dive into the Trial of the Gods nature cards.

2.png

Chiron, the Teacher

Chiron has been schooling kids in the arena and slots into any nature deck you are running. Imagine shield bearer on steroids, regen? Check, give +1/+1? Check and -1 relic durability? Check. It is one of the strongest openers in the game, in my opinion. And it shows having the highest win rate below mythic and the second-highest win rate in mythic. It also is the highest-priced card in this set.

All

  • Play Rate - 2.20%
  • Win Rate - 59.80%
  • Games played - 64,990

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 16.10%
  • Win Rate - 59.50%
  • Games played - 39,711

Price - $160.26

3.png

Blessing of Nature

This is soo far from a blessing; whoever named it was more than likely having a trip. It could be slotted into aggro nature decks, as it gives you that early four favor to get your sanctum pulls rolling. Although, it doesn't seem to be fairing well at any rank. Also, tied for the cheapest card in this set.

All

  • Play Rate - 0.20%
  • Win Rate - 49.60%
  • Games played - 6,006

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 0.10%
  • Win Rate - 44.50%
  • Games played - 292

Price - $0.56

4.png

Dryad Seer

One thing he is not seeing this month is the arena. As it is an amazon, playing this with an amazon zoo deck is possible, although it is not strong in this meta. You will only encounter this card below mythic, and the stats say you most likely will run over it. It is tied for the cheapest card in this set with the above card.

All

  • Play Rate - 0.30%
  • Win Rate - 50.50%
  • Games played - 8,422

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 0.20%
  • Win Rate - 45.00%
  • Games played - 544

Price - $0.56

5.png

Ornery Goat

This goat is humping its way through (I had to do it), especially in the lower ranks. The two damage seems to be highly valued by mythic players and seeing significant play in that tier, although the win rate doesn't seem to correlate. It is still a solid card and could be played in many nature decks for early game pressure; it is also fairly priced.

All

  • Play Rate - 4.70%
  • Win Rate - 56.40%
  • Games played - 138,978

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 15.80%
  • Win Rate - 50.60%
  • Games played - 38,921

Price - $6.04

6.png

Steadfast Scout

Do you want to beat aggro war at their game by running a fast-paced nature deck? Do you like Amazons? If the answers are yes, this card could come in handy in a deck built to face roll opponents. The key fact is you will need to be playing a lot of early game creatures to get value out of this card. Everything is pointing to an upward trend for this card, and the value most likely will rise when we revisit it next month.

All

  • Play Rate - 0.70%
  • Win Rate - 55.00%
  • Games played - 19,435

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 1.70%
  • Win Rate - 50.80%
  • Games played - 4,235

Price - $5.84

7.png

Selena's Bow

If the Bow is like this, wonder what Selena is like? (We will get to her). A relic that can keep on giving. The only other relic competing is the Faeflame blade from the core set. Selenas Bow is the better option for nature relics; the stats show that it is being played in all tiers with a positive win rate.

All

  • Play Rate - 0.60%
  • Win Rate - 55.40%
  • Games played - 16,600

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 1.90%
  • Win Rate - 52.00%
  • Games played - 4,581

Price - $50.58

8.png

Sudden Rally

It is a unique card catered towards amazon decks, and if you're running an Amazon zoo deck, this card fits snuggly in it. It seems that it is played mainly below mythic, as the Amazonians are struggling in the current meta.

All

  • Play Rate - 0.20%
  • Win Rate - 50.20%
  • Games played - 5,263

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 0.20%
  • Win Rate - 41.70%
  • Games played 513

Price - $0.61

9.png

Selena, Champion of Nature

She is a game-changer and throws the nature RNG factor out of the window. Yes, now on turn 5.5/6 you have a brazen moose who is not confused (No more praying to RNGesus). Wait, it doesn't end there; she sits in the backline shooting arrows, and to catch her, your opponent better burn a few cards. Thus, all her stats are on the upper end of the spectrum, in all tiers of play.

All

  • Play Rate - 1.50%
  • Win Rate - 59.60%
  • Games played - 44,901

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 10.20%
  • Win Rate - 58.80%
  • Games played - 25,274

Price - $139.82

10.png

Frenzied Ritual

The ritual seems to be working as it is picking up some steam. It is similar to lightning strike (Core set) difference being four more damage and drawing a card, which will cost you one extra mana and may kill one of your own. If you are running lightintg strike in your deck, you should give this card a whirl as it is a cheap card to purchase—another card with all-around solid statistics in all tiers of play.

All

  • Play Rate - 0.60%
  • Win Rate - 57.00%
  • Games played - 17,282

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 3.50%
  • Win Rate - 57.40%
  • Games played - 8,743

Price - $0.98

11.png

Beast Speaker

She may be speaking to beasts, but she is not talking to the players. You could play it in Aggro zoo decks as it gives you an early option to go wide on the board. Think amazon decks or aggro wild decks with this card. It is being played in tiers below mythic and has a respectable win rate.

All

  • Play Rate - 0.30%
  • Win Rate - 53.50%
  • Games played - 9,798

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 0.40%
  • Win Rate - 43.20%
  • Games played - 1,089

Price - $0.60

12.png

Jaguar Staff

The staff that pops out Big Black Kitties, what's not to like? Its the most played card in all ranks in this set. It also boasts an excellent win rate this month. There is only upside with this card, and you can slot this in most nature decks as it is one of the best nature relics. Go forth and summon the Jaguar. If you don't own this card already, I will urge you to look into buying it.

All

  • Play Rate - 6.20%
  • Win Rate - 58.80%
  • Games played - 184,282

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 32.20%
  • Win Rate - 55.20%
  • Games played - 79,468

Price - $14.74

13.png

Trial of the Hydra

This Hydra will judge your opponent and find him guilty, except in mythic. It has a healthy play rate under mythic, and it is most likely due to being slotted in wild zoo decks. It can change the game in one turn barring your opponent playing a board clear card; timing is key. Pair this with bladefly and see the little critters become board control monsters. I see better days coming for this card at mythic tier play and price.

All

  • Play Rate - 1.30%
  • Win Rate - 55.60%
  • Games played - 38,495

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 3.90%
  • Win Rate - 47.80%
  • Games played - 9,633

Price - $16.26

14.png

Aeona's Defection

If you're feeling frisky, this is the card you should play. You will keep your opponents guessing; it's mediocre at best in all tiers of play, and you rarely see it. This is due to having better card draw options in nature.

All

  • Play Rate - 0.10%
  • Win Rate - 50.80%
  • Games played - 3,470

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 0.30%
  • Win Rate - 58.00%
  • Games played - 777

Price - $0.98

15.png

Dionysian Bull

A viable card at a six mana cost, but seeing a lot of play below mythic, there are better options in this range for nature players (Giant Pangolin, I am looking at you). The win rate below mythic is respectable, although it seems playing this in mythic is a death knell.

All

  • Play Rate - 1.10%
  • Win Rate - 53.20%
  • Games played - 31,274

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 1.30%
  • Win Rate - 41.70%
  • Games played - 3,276

Price - $1.14

16.png

Enchanted Vines

A close cousin to "The Hunt" this does give you 16 damage spread out at chunks of four and gives you a nature card. Please light a candle to RNGesus when you play this card and hope it's favorable and you draw something worthwhile. It is seeing a rise in popularity with solid win rates, although I doubt it could dethrone the king of removal for nature players, "The Hunt."

All

  • Play Rate - 0.90%
  • Win Rate - 57.20%
  • Games played - 27,075

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 4.60%
  • Win Rate - 56.70%
  • Games played - 11,306

Price - $0.82

17.png

Caller of the Hunt

This card is picking up steam in lower tiers of play, although still lagging behind in mythic in both play rate and win rate. Being a six-mana cost card and nature players giving attention to big beasts or nature regen variations, this card has lost its way. Although, it would slot into most decks and could be used in the Amazon zoo deck variations.

All

  • Play Rate - 0.50%
  • Win Rate - 53.70%
  • Games played - 15,929

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 0.70%
  • Win Rate - 43.80%
  • Games played - 1,836

Price - $15.53

18.png

Selena's Insight

You tag Selena's name, and you get a game-changing card. Like the previous cards attached to her, this card can save you from defeat in one turn. Back against the wall, board clear card, it's underutilized due to its situational marker. The play rates are on the lower end of the spectrum.

All

  • Play Rate - 0.20%
  • Win Rate - 53.80%
  • Games played - 4,815

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 0.20%
  • Win Rate - 46.80%
  • Games played - 419

Price - $2.84

19.png

Arkmonian Hydra

This Hydra performs well in lower tiers and has a decent play rate among all tiers. Although it is evident that mythic players know how to play and trade against this card. You will see this mainly in control nature variations, which is not meta right now.

All

  • Play Rate - 1.00%
  • Win Rate - 53.50%
  • Games played - 29,385

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 1.40%
  • Win Rate - 44.50%
  • Games played - 3,558

Price - $18.05

20.png

Seasonal Rebirth

A removal card for nature where you don't have to pray to RNGesus. The issue here is it's a seven mana cost card. The meta right now is all face, so you won't have time to draw this card. In the lucky chance you do, it will make a difference. Positive win rates in all tiers of play, although the play rate is abysmal.

All

  • Play Rate - 0.20%
  • Win Rate - 53.60%
  • Games played - 6,442

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 0.60%
  • Win Rate - 51.50%
  • Games played - 1,396

Price - $9.79

21.png

Figure in the Streets

We have arrived at the worst card in this set by the numbers. It is more like a ghost than a figure. There are better eight drops that this card has lost its value. If you need frontline this late in the game, you could play General Orythia instead. It is the lowest card in most categories except for the price.

All

  • Play Rate - 0.10%
  • Win Rate - 47.20%
  • Games played - 2,453

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 0.10%
  • Win Rate - 37.10%
  • Games played - 124

Price - $0.94

22.png

Dionysus, the Bountiful

This old drunk will finish the game if you get to the LATE game. It has the highest win rate in mythic out of all cards in this set, and it is also mainly played in mythic. It will slot into a control deck and act as your finisher. For a legendary, I believe it is undervalued.

  • Play Rate - 0.30%
  • Win Rate - 58.80%
  • Games played - 8,669

Mythic

  • Play Rate - 2.10%
  • Win Rate - 61.60%
  • Games played - 5,303

Price - $36.23
