I guess the time had to come, being the teenage daughter of a blockchain/BITCOIN fanatic could not have another result.
The first time my daughter told me this statement was some time ago, I think she did it more than two years ago, actually, I think it was before the Pandemic.
From that moment to the present date, I have been postponing the "problem", although I didn't think it was either, until now.
Since then, besides the usual duties of being her father, my priority towards this topic has been her education in the basics of the blockchain technology and, also on the sense and meaning of BITCOIN as a possible solution to the problem generated by the current system based on FIAT "money".
In principle, they are difficult topics to explain to anyone, perhaps even more so if you try to do it to young people, but I think I have managed quite well during this time and, although I have focused and based my explanations on quite abstract terms to her age as "Trust" and "reliability", surprisingly, she and I think also my youngest son have grasped the ideas perfectly.
A few months ago I introduced her to HIVE, I gave her a "Master-class" on what private keys meant, posting, owner, active, memo... later KEYCHAIN and then I showed her a few Hive frontends like PEAKD and ECENCY which, I think are more in line with the kind of frontends this generation is used to dealing with.
Today, I can say that my daughter is already a quasi-MINNOW with unprecedented success, at least if I compare it with my beginnings in HIVE...obviously, when I started, 5 years ago, I literally had no one to guide me as I have done with her but I had already some blockchain knowledge by the time.

This past weekend, while we were driving back home from our Easter vacation, she repeated it to me again...
Dad, I want to buy BITCOIN...
While I was driving I was explaining to her that with HIVE and HBD she could also buy BITCOIN or any other crypto if she wanted...but, she insisted that what she wanted to do was "invest part of my Euros savings in buying BITCOIN" and that "I would like to accumulate HIVE and not sell for the moment to build a good future in this blockchain too"...
Honestly, on the one hand I felt afraid that she would do it, on the other hand I felt proud of her...
As a result, today I have installed a wallet on her mobile.
As always, for beginners, I explained how important it is to handle private keys yourself and not trust third parties...EXODUS has been my choice for my daughter, although it is not as secure as a LEDGER or a TREZOR, since It is a software wallet, it is a non-custodial wallet in which the security is sufficient for the level of investment that my daughter wants to make...at least, for the moment (LOL). Other times will come in which to reconsider the option of a Hardware wallet for her.
Next step is already planned. On Saturday we are going to one of the Bitcoin ATMs that I know, close to home, which I have already tried some times in the past, without KYC or other stupid nonsense... although with a small purchase commission, in any case, I am sure that we will start her investment on the right foot.
It's amazing how these kids grow with a little help.
You've got a smart daughter taking after her dad, wow am supper impressed! How old is she? What's her Hive username?

Thank you friend!
That's great. I want to see more stories as such. I'm still using Exodus by the way...

Exodus is still a good wallet
Daughters are father's pride. I'm sure you definitely proud of her. Being your daughter, she has got enough knowledge about all that crypto based stuff that she is making her father proud.
This story suggests that you have a good relationship with your daughter and the fact that you share the same interests with her also proves it. I hope to do the same with my son, who is still a baby.
Thanks for your sharing! :)
well, that's what I try to do as a father 😉
I joined hive last year. Learned everything myself, it took me a week to get use to it. It was like a maze. I use Exodus, it seems popular with lots of users. Although I don't have a lot of money in crypto, I like to get a Ledger but it seems hard to use !
Could seem difficult but actually, a LEDGER is very easy to use
