Personally I quite enjoy going through the snaps feed a couple times per day and casting a few quick votes down the feed. It also helps me connect with new users and catch up on some random happenings outside of hive as well,

And also the other way around. My snaps often represent what I blog about on Hive too, so it sometimes gets me some new followers as well.
