RE: How do you perceive an Unfollow?

in Ask the Hivelast year (edited)

I unfollow those I don't interact with or those that I give attention without getting anything in return, pretty much like I do with people in real life ;<)

or I unfollow when I find out they have become inactive. The more people I follow, the more energy it costs me.

I looked at this too, though inactive is not an indicator per se. I am inactive from time to time too. So do you mind ppl unfollowing you?

Good to see ya :)

I merely mean "inactive for a long time" and no interaction whatsoever. I do not mind people unfollowing me if we haven't/ have hardly connected before. If we have, I wonder about the why ( my mind loves to analyze everything ) but I sure do understand. We all have only so much time in a day and have to be selective in what we consume.

Abraco!

Yah same here, more or less. I don't ponder about it, tbh I hardly recognize who unfollows. It's not that I would go through the list everyday. Plus people can still vote and interact on your posts without following. I stumble upon stuff I like but don't necessarily follow right away. The feed list becomes long and I want it to be kind of content I read rather than it to be filled with a wide following.

It can be a delicate topic when politics become involved I think, but when it is just an expression of who it is you wanna see in your feed than hell go for it 😄
