Powerful — Hive

Siento que hoy los ojos se ven atrevidos y un poco intimidantes, por eso decidí titular este dibujo “poderosa” Hace varios días que no dibujaba y hoy aproveche la mañana y el buen clima que ha habido recién, eso me pone de muy buen humor y me anima a hacer cosas, el cielo nublado y el frio son de las cosas que mas me gustan de la vida y aunque me traen algo de nostalgia tambien me inspiran a hacer cosas que me gustan. Para mi dibujo de hoy quise usar tonalidades moradas, rosas y al final como un extra agregue iluminaciones con un verde muy tenue, pero que siempre me ha parecido muy cool agregar verde a ilustraciones con tonos morados/rosas, solo que esta vez no exagere demasiado. Espero que les guste.

I feel like the eyes look bold and a little intimidating today, which is why I decided to title this drawing "Powerful."

I haven't drawn in several days, and today I took advantage of the morning and the recent good weather. It puts me in a great mood and encourages me to create. Cloudy skies and cold weather are some of my favorite things in life, and although they bring a touch of nostalgia, they also inspire me to do things I enjoy. For today's drawing, I wanted to use shades of purple and pink, and at the end, as an extra touch, I added highlights with a very subtle green. I've always thought it was really cool to add green to illustrations with purple/pink tones, but this time I didn't overdo it. I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realicé el boceto y comencé a pintar usando tonos rosas oscuros y algunos morados, en una nueva capa agregué mas colores para darle mejor forma al rostro y asi comenzar a mezclar todo dejando una piel suave, pero con bastante textura. El fondo lo coloque de un tono lila fuerte.

I made the sketch and started painting using dark pink and some purple tones. On a new layer, I added more colors to better define the face and begin blending everything, resulting in smooth skin with plenty of texture. I used a strong lilac tone for the background.

Continue detallando el rostro, sobre todo dibujando las cejas y pestañas, luego pinté el cabello con un morado super oscuro y agregué iluminaciones con un morado mas claro y una opacidad baja para hacer los trazos más delicados. Como siempre, agregué luces en los ojos, pómulos, nariz y labios, pero quise que estas luces resaltaran un poco más asi que utilice un color verde para realizar las iluminaciones y jugué con el estilo de capa para que el color no fuese tan fuerte. Finalice realizando un leve ajuste de color.

I continued detailing the face, especially drawing the eyebrows and eyelashes. Then I painted the hair with a very dark purple and added highlights with a lighter purple at low opacity to make the strokes more delicate. As always, I added highlights to the eyes, cheekbones, nose, and lips, but I wanted these highlights to stand out a bit more, so I used a green color for the highlights and played with the layer style so the color wasn't too strong. I finished by making a slight color adjustment.
