Hello hivers. Lines are the basis of a drawing, whether they are straight, crooked, curved, spiral, parallel or irregular. I like to experiment with drawing so I decided to take a drawing notebook that I bought a while ago and use it to make any drawing that comes to mind, but, that is only made up of lines and geometric figures. The idea is to give free rein to my imagination and then try to give a title to each work, that is, instead of starting with the idea of what I want to draw, for example, I will make a fish, a landscape, a face, which It's like we usually do, in this case, I'll let the lines guide me and in the end, it will be the finished drawing that tells me what the hell I did and how I will name it hahaha.
No es la primera vez que uso esta técnica o manera para inspirarme, de hecho, es una de mis técnicas favoritas para dibujar, y tengo muchos cuadernos de dibujo llenos con todas esas ideas que nacieron naturalmente de mi mente, guiadas solamente por la música y el pensamiento en blanco. Siempre he usado esta técnica de una manera libre, que es como en realidad me gusta, y no sólo centrada en líneas y figuras geométricas, sin embargo, en este cuaderno quiero hacerlo más limitante para probar algo diferente que obviamente me dará resultados diferentes.
It's not the first time that I use this technique or way to get inspiration, in fact, it's one of my favorite techniques to draw, and I have many drawing notebooks filled with all those ideas that were born naturally from my mind, guided only by music and thought in white. I have always used this technique in a free way, which is how I actually like it, and not only focused on lines and geometric figures, however, in this notebook I want to make it more limiting to try something different that will obviously give me different results.
Bueno, como ya les comenté, aparte de mi cuaderno de dibujo, el cual tiene hojas normales y no cartulina como los blocks de dibujo, utilicé lápiz, una regla, marcadores y lápices de colores. Ah, olvidé decirles algo importante, cuando uso esta técnica me pongo los audífonos para que nada me distraiga y para que así sea la música la que guíe mis trazos, porque son dibujos abstractos basados en lo que esa música le haga sentir o percibir a mi subconsciente.
Well, as I already told you, apart from my drawing notebook, which has normal sheets and not cardboard like drawing blocks, I used a pencil, a ruler, markers and colored pencils. Oh, I forgot to tell you something important, when I use this technique I put on headphones so that nothing distracts me and so that the music guides my strokes, because they are abstract drawings based on what that music makes my subconscious feel or perceive.
No sabía por dónde empezar así que lo primero que hice fue un marco irregular, luego dividí el interior en varias secciones y puse unos semicírculos entre las separaciones de cada una de ellas.
I didn't know where to start so the first thing I made was an irregular frame, then I divided the interior into several sections and put some semicircles between the separations of each of them.
Como la parte básica serán las líneas, empecé a llenar cada sección con lo primero que se me ocurría, líneas curvas, paralelas y semicírculos.
Since the basic part will be the lines, I began to fill each section with the first thing that came to mind, curved lines, parallel lines and semicircles.
Con un marcador negro de punta fina marqué todas las líneas que hice y después usé una borra para eliminar los rastros de lápiz.
With a fine tip black marker I marked all the lines I made and then used an eraser to eliminate the pencil traces.
Llegó el momento de ponerle color al dibujo. Si bien trataré de ser muy estricta con mi regla de usar solamente líneas y figuras geométricas para los dibujos que haré en este cuaderno, siempre me permito un poquito de rebeldía, y no fue porque así lo pensé sino porque la música y el dibujo mismo me lo exigió jajaja, recuerden que no me estoy dejando llevar por mis pensamientos sino por los trazos y la música 😉🖍️🎸🎧.
The time has come to add color to the drawing. Although I'll try to be very strict with my rule of using only lines and geometric figures for the drawings that I will make in this notebook, I always allow myself a little bit of rebellion, and it wasn't because I thought so but because the music and the drawing itself demanded it of me hahaha, remember that I'm not getting carried away by my thoughts but by the strokes and the music 😉🖍️🎸🎧.
Al igual que hice con las líneas, también lo hice con los colores, quizás habrá secciones cuyas combinaciones de colores no son muy armónicas o bonitas pero es lo que me iba indicando el subconsciente así que sólo los ponía sin usar mi propio juicio o gusto jajaja 🤷🏻♀️.
As I did with the lines, I also did it with the colors, perhaps there will be sections whose color combinations are not very harmonious or pretty but that is what my subconscious was telling me so I just put them in without using my own judgment or taste hahaha 🤷🏻♀️.
Una vez que coloreé todo repasé todas las líneas principales con un marcador negro un poquito más grueso para que el dibujo se viera más bonito. Y este es el resultado final.
Once I colored everything, I went over all the main lines with a slightly thicker black marker so that the drawing looked more beautiful. And this is the final result.
Analizando este dibujo, jmmm, bueno 🤔, me parece una escena compleja llena de contrastes que van desde la melancolía, la parte alegre y pop de la infancia hasta la búsqueda interior, pero prefiero que cada uno de ustedes haga su propio análisis y me diga qué les transmite este dibujo 😉.
