Gesture drawings

Here are some of the more gesture drawings that I did in my journal. Here, I focused more on the women sculptures I've seen on the internet. Most of them I believe were marble statues photographed in what looked like a museum. I love this style and the poses as well since they capture a lot of feminine energy and emotions.

I realized my style is influenced by these as well, as many paintings from 15th century also kinda looked like this.

These are maybe 2-minute sketch per figure and I really like this way of sketching as well since I only focus on the poses and the form and I can move on to the next one.

You severely underwhelm how crazy this is😭😂😂

They are actually quite good and for me maybe 10 minutes per sketch

Maybe some are 4 minutes but most of them are very quick. :D I think when I go slowly that's when I overthink the details and stuff, and that takes so long. Try timing yourself and maybe you'll also surprise yourself. Doing this many times can make you better and also most of them are familiar poses as well.

yeah... awesome... don't overthink.... you progess so much better with 100 quicky dodgy sketches and then 5 more thoughtful ones, that doing 2 more thoughtful ones that take ages.

They are not bad AT ALL. I took my husband to life drawing classes on a date (very early on) and jolly well made sure it was a male model the first time... SO much fun...

i like this one best

just looks "the right energy" the pose doesn't look forced.

anyway great job.

I've tried to develop this good habit and I've failed every time, lol. Even though I've loved it when doing it.

I Love your sketches. I think it's, beyond the practice to become a better artist, a great way of enjoy creating.
