En estos días no había logrado practicar mi técnica de dibujo, pero creo que es importante aprovechar los tiempos libres que se presentan para realizar lo que más nos gusta y de paso ir mejorando en ello. El día de hoy les quiero compartir el resultado de mi última práctica, un retrato a lápiz.

Materiales / Materials :
- Lápices de grafito / Graphite pencils, (H,HB,2H y 2B)
- Borrador moldeable / Kneaded Eraser
- MonoZero
- Papel Canson MixMedia / Canson MixMedia Paper
- Algodón / Cotton
Como he mencionado en post anteriores, el trazo inicial lo realizo con un lápiz que me genere una línea de baja intensidad, el H y HB me sirven para esta tarea. La intención es tener línea que me vaya guiando y que no sean visibles en el resultado final.
As I have mentioned in previous posts, I make the initial stroke with a pencil that generates a low intensity line, the H and HB are useful for this task. The intention is to have lines that guide me and that are not visible in the final result.
En esta parte del proceso utilice un lápiz 2B para marcar las sombras predominantes y el tono medio de la piel con un lápiz H. Para integrar los trazos, los difumine con la ayuda de un algodón.
In this part of the process, use a 2B pencil to mark the predominant shadows and the medium skin tone with an H pencil. To blend the strokes, blend them with the help of a cotton pad.
Para definir mejor las sombras y zonas oscuras del rostro (cejas, labios y ojos), utilicé un lápiz B y 2B. Las luces las realicé eliminando un poco de grafico con la goma moldeable.
To better define the shadows and dark areas of the face (eyebrows, lips and eyes), use a B and 2B pencil. The highlights are made by eliminating a little of the graphic with the kneaded eraser
El proceso que más tiempo me lleva es el cabello. Comienzo trazando cada una de las direcciones con un lápiz H y difumino toda la zona con un algodón.
The process that takes me the longest is the hair. I start by tracing each of the directions with an H pencil and smudge the entire area with a cotton pad.
Para las zonas más oscuras del cabello utilizo el B y 2B, es importante definir bien las sombras para conseguir el efecto de realismo. Las luces las realizo con un borrador monozero.
For the darker areas of the hair I use the B and 2B, it is important to define the shadows well to achieve the effect of realism. The lights are made with a monozero eraser.
Con el dibujo casi finalizado, corrijo las sombras con los lápices y las luces con el borrador. Este último también me ayudará a limpiar todas las machas de grafito en la hoja.
With the drawing almost finished, I correct the shadows with the pencils and the highlights with the eraser. The latter will also help me to clean all the graphite smudges on the sheet.
