Artijoke

This is my discreet way of saying, I didn't make Java's strip for today. So instead you get this arti-joke.

I thought of it probably a year ago and couldn't really fit it into any of my regular comics. So blue-haired mayonnaise-loving guy agreed to step in as a substitute comic. You would think he would have thought of this social hack years ago. His name is actually Arthur Choke and his friends call him Artie.

Hey, with the billions of people on Earth. There is probably a guy named Artie Choke. Probably many. What are the statistical odds of at least one of those guys asphyxiating while eating an artichoke? And how much would you pay for a chance to write that guys eulogy?

Funnily enough we got an artichoke plant and have been known to just dip the cooked petals in mayo. It's a tricky thing to eat generally. Then we let it flower and the bees enjoyed it.

Bee arti

I want to know who was the first brave soul that decided that an artichoke is food...
I was wondering if the artichoke dipping in mayo was just an American thing. Good to know that this joke lands in the UK as well. :)

Now we have the plant we need to find more ways to eat it. It has produced a fair few flowers.
