In the Major Arcana cartomantic tarot pack The Fool is left unnumbered. A young lady is walking unknowingly towards the blink of a precipice. She carries her small bundle of belongings in a backpack representing untapped collective knowledge.


According to A. E. Waite's 1910 book The Pictorial Key to the Tarot, the Fool card is associated with:

Folly, mania, extravagance, intoxication, delirium, frenzy, bewrayment.
