Estoy muy contenta, en días pasados recibí algo valioso que me motivó mucho a seguir con mis ilustraciones, este es un post de agradecimiento, tengo una amiga muy apreciada por mi desde hace años, no pertenece a esta plataforma pero igual deseo expresar lo conmovida que estoy.

MI PANA SE LLAMA ISIS

La conocí años atrás cuando éramos jóvenes, ricas y famosas, ella en aquel entonces era la novia de un buen amigo de la casa, siempre la veía con aspecto de cansancio y poco hablar pero cuando hablaba tenía unas ocurrencias que ni les cuento, me identifiqué rápido, me caía bien y me parecía que yo no le caía igual, yo estaba determinada a ganarme su amistad, me enteré que su comportamiento algo cerrado y su cansancio era porque tenía un chamo pequeño, tenía como dos trabajos y de paso estudiaba en horario nocturno, claro ahí la admiré mas.

Total que yo buscando un tema de conversación interesante porque me parecía difícil entablar con ella, vi el significado de su nombre en el diccionario y era algo así:

“Isis es el nombre griego de una diosa de la mitología egipcia. Su nombre egipcio era Ast, que significa trono, representado por el jeroglífico que portaba sobre su cabeza. Fue denominada "Gran maga", "Gran diosa madre", "Reina de los dioses", "Fuerza fecundadora de la naturaleza", "Diosa de la maternidad y del nacimiento".Fuente

Pensé: oye que chévere vale me gusta, que interesante, ¿Cual será el significado de mi nombre?

Total que le comenté en una de esos pocos minutos que la encontré y se lo comenté y soltó la carcajada del año, se fue risa y risa y yo todavía a estas alturas no entiendo el por qué. Nos hicimos panas hasta el sol de hoy aún, del mismo signo Virgo para mas señas, yo del 7 y ella del 16, siempre nos hemos divertido inventando sorpresas o algún detalle especial, con mis otras amistades también pero ella es casi mi reflejo.

Ahora ella está en Chile con un hermoso hogar y yo sigo aquí en Venezuela felíz con los míos

Seguimos en las buenas y en las malas, ella es tremenda ingeniera civil y ahora tiene un emprendimiento genial en diseño de agendas personalizadas, tazas etc. Por mi parte como bien saben soy turismóloga y ahora con propiedad puedo decir orgullosa que soy una ilustradora, pronto de modas.

El 24 de mayo hablando con ella por whatsapp le enseño un dibujo que estaba haciendo y no me gustaba mucho, a ella le gustó y se la regalé, me contestó que la iba a vectorizar y pasó el tiempo, a mi se me había olvidado el asunto:

#MATERIALES QUE USÉ EN ESA OCASIÓN:

• Papel (yo uso mayormente de reciclaje para practicar)
• Lápiz 2B y 6B.
• Borra.
• Sacapuntas.
• Colores: negro y azúl claro
• Marcador fino negro No. 34, azúl No.21.
• Lápiz de maquillaje para ojos y cejas color negro.
• Labial rojo
• ¡Motivación!

PROCESO DE DIBUJO:

Para esta ilustración hice un boceto de rostro con proyección ¾, lo iba a hacer solo a lápiz cómo práctica entre realismo y manga, una combinación loca lo sé, quienes ya me han leido antes sabrán que me gusta divertirme porque si me preocupo dibujando obligando a hacerlo bien por presión pierdo, lo dañaría… Eso fué lo que pasó, tenía que haberlo dejado solo en negro como iba, lápices, luego marcador negro para definir los contornos e intensifiqué ojos con el creyón de maquillaje negro, me gustaba así pero me puse a inventar darle color a los labios y en un descuido lo dañé, se regó fuera de línea el labial y no supe como arreglar, en el momento eso me pareció fatídico.

A Isis le encantó y yo le di hasta su versión digital como se vería con Adobe Photoshop Express

Para finales de agosto comenzando ya el mes de septiembre mi amiga me envía por whatsapp “la muñequita que le regalé” yo pensaba : ¿Que muñequita chica? me decia de nuevo: ¡la vectoricé espero te guste! y yo perdída en el espacio, como cosa rara.

Me gustó la transformación del dibujo sin perder su esencia, me encantó como quedó, la aplicación que uso se llama Pluma Vector SVG:

Luego me di cuenta, viendo su brazo que tenía un mini tatuaje que le había escrito identificando mi arte, esta fue una de mis primeras prácticas para presentar un dibujo como tal aquí en #HIVE ya que para cuando comencé, que fue en mayo, estaba haciendo tutoriales para que ustedes mis queridos Hivers aprendieran a dibujar al estilo @yenmendt

Así quedó el diseño que ella usó para una taza personalizada y en sus estados de Whatsapp corporativo leí orgullosa: “Ilustración realizada por Yenni Méndez”

¿Qué te pareció? ¿Te gustó? ¿Qué eliminarías o aportarías al diseño o sugerencias para ilustrar mejor? Solo me queda como comentario final que estas son las amistades geniales de la vida, las que te ayudan a motivarte y ser mejor cada día, para tener un buen amigo tu también debes serlo y de corazón.

Recomendación final

Cuando llegue la musa, debes dejarte llevar, sea la hora que sea, date unos minutos para ti, diviértete creando algo, aunque creas que es insignificante, resulta que vale oro porque despejó tu mente y lo que crees que has dibujado no es nada, para otros es una obra de arte.

I met her years ago when we were young, rich and famous, she at that time was the girlfriend of a good friend of the house, I always saw her looking tired and little talk but when she spoke she had some witticisms that I can't even tell you, I identified quickly, I was determined to win her friendship since I found out that her somewhat closed behavior and her tiredness was due to the fact that she had a little boy, she worked and studied at night, of course, I admired her even more.

So I was looking for an interesting topic of conversation because it seemed difficult to engage her, I saw the meaning of her name in the dictionary and it was something like this:

"Isis is the Greek name of a goddess of Egyptian mythology. Her Egyptian name was Ast, which means throne, represented by the hieroglyph on her head. She was called "Great magician", "Great mother goddess", "Queen of the gods", "Fertilizing force of nature", "Goddess of motherhood and birth."Source

I thought: hey that's cool okay I like it, how interesting, what will be the meaning of my name?

We became pals to this day still, of the same sign Virgo for more signs but I of the 7 and she of the 16, we have always had fun inventing surprises or some special detail, with my other friendships too but she is almost my reflection.

But we continue in good times and bad, she is a tremendous civil engineer but now has a great enterprise in the design of personalized agendas, mugs, etc. and for my part, as you know I am a tourist and now I can proudly say that I am an illustrator, soon to be a fashion illustrator.

On May 24 talking to her by WhatsApp I showed her a drawing I was doing and I did not like it very much, she liked it and I gave it to her, she replied that she was going to vectorize it and time passed, I had forgotten about it:

#MATERIALS I USED ON THAT OCCASION:

• Paper (I use mostly recycled for practice).
• 2B and 6B pencils.
• Eraser.
• Pencil sharpener.
• Colors: black and light blue
• Fine marker black No. 34, blue No.21.
• Eye and eyebrow pencil black color.
• Red lipstick
• Motivation!

DRAWING PROCESS:

For this illustration I did a face sketch with projection ¾, I was going to do it only in pencil how to practice between realism and manga, a crazy combination I know, those who have read me before will know that I like to have fun because if I worry about drawing forcing to do it right by the pressure I lose, I would damage it... That's what happened, I should have left it only in black as it was, pencils, then black marker to define the contours and I intensified my eyes with the black makeup crayon, I liked it that way but I started to invent something to give color to the lips and in a carelessness I damaged it, the lipstick spilled out of line and I didn't know how to fix it, at the moment that seemed fatal to me.

Isis loved it and I even gave her a digital version of what it would look like with Adobe Photoshop Express.

By the end of August, at the beginning of September, my friend sent me by Whatsapp "the little doll I gave her," I thought: What little doll girl? she told me again: I vectorized it, I hope you like it! and I was lost in space as if it was something strange on my part

He digitized it in an application called SVG Vector Pen look at every detail, every transformation without losing its essence, I loved how it turned out:

Bueno te cuento,yo siempre pensé que me llamaba Jenny

Cuando me gradué y fuí a validar mi titulo me dijeron que no correspondía o no era igual el nombre que figuraba en el título con el de la cédula, debía verificar en mi acta de nacimiento, me traumé al ver que me llamo realmente es YENNI, eso me dejó en shock, ¿Quien soy? fue una de las tantas preguntas que me hice...

A mi no me gustaba ese nombre cuando estaba chama, todo el mundo se llamaba así, en las películas gringas casi todas se tienen ese nombre, sino mira la protagonista de Forrest Gump que hizo de todo y al final se murió. Yo decía en mis adentros: ¿Como me van a decir cuando sea adulta? ¡Eso no parece nombre de gente responsable y seria!

Me han dicho Yennicita, Yennicecita, y les digo: pana dime ¡Yen y ya! y cuando he comido algo sabroso digo: ¡Yenni está llena jajajjaja!

Si, toy tosty lo reconozco, espero cuando sea grande seguir así.

Excelente trabajo @yenmendt, las dos son unas artistas. Los ojos efectivamente son "muy manga" y eso lo hace muy especial porque reflejan "vida", la alegría al cantar o silbar y con ese mensaje que complementa el todo, la verdad es que invita a tomársela con calma, me encantó. 🙂
