I was just about to go to bed last night, when this tiny voice inside me started speaking. “You know, you should really check your order book” I tried ignoring it a few times but today I am SO glad I didn’t lol. I had a major commission to paint and deliver by tonight! I had a little bit of panicking going on the inside as soon as I saw that I had less than 22 hours for it. And I was yet to sleep and wake up. GREAT.
I immediately sat my ass down and began working on it by 12-12:30. Also I had to scan it through my phone which means it needed to be completed by evening at the latest (as daylight was crucial for good scan) WOW. This meant I actually had about 7-8 hours to get this done or the lighting conditions would have messed up BIG time. One good thing about a little deadline pressure is that it doesn’t let you dilly dally. No breaks after lunch, no “I’m just gonna watch one episode”, nothing.
And that was it. I painted like the world was on fire and it took me 5 hours to complete this A4 sized piece. By the 5th hour my eyes couldn’t differentiate the subtle differences in the shades in browns and greys because everything started looking the same lol. A little panick again. My neck was wrecked by this point but I couldn’t believe my speed! I don’t know if it’s a personal best but I am happy for sure! What do you guys think?
