About eight years ago, it all started in a small "Home Studio" assembled in the room of an apartment in the city of Cumaná - Venezuela. There I dedicated myself to studying and experimenting making recordings and working on them in Cubase, which at that time was the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) with which I only played at being a producer. Now this production company has a list of more than 20 phonographic works, audio design, montage for advertising micros, short films, video clips, podcasts and more.

Saludos cordiales a toda la comunidad de OCD y HIVE. Soy Augusto Córdova y les presento mi casa productora: Artefacto Studio. Hace mas o menos unos ocho años, todo empezó en un pequeño “Home Studio” ensamblado en la habitación de un apartamento en la ciudad de Cumaná – Venezuela. Allí me dedique a estudiar y experimentar haciendo grabaciones y trabajándolas en el Cubase, que para ese entonces era el DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) con el que solo jugaba a ser productor. BRIEF HISTORY.
In my childhood I played radio, I recorded little pilots on cassettes that I always re-recorded over and over again, I loved the radio as an important source of communication and access to music. In my teens I was introduced to a game for the Playstation (a video game console) with which you could create music in a multi-track interface much like today's DAW or audio editing software. In that game I did my first editing and mixing jobs in a simple and fun way.
Without knowing it, I had already recorded in my subconscious a taste for editing and mixing a song. After many years of finding myself in the process of producing the album of one of the rock bands to which I belonged, that taste was awakened and my passion for music production returned.
A couple of moves later, in my new residence and after taking a vacation as a musician, I returned to the computer; There I made a new version of my Home Studio with new equipment and a vision of production a little less as a hobby and more as a professional, so I enrolled in a music production training course conducted by Berklee College Of Music at a distance by Professor Enrique González Müller, winner of a Grammy and producer of the Amigos Invisibles.

The first step.
In this mixture of learning and experimentation, I reconfigured myself as a musician, opening myself to the possibility of using my experience and the resources I had, to support emerging projects and give them the possibility of producing a song from a more aesthetic and artistic perspective. So I sent several private messages to some musical projects offering to produce a song for free. It probably sounded like a joke to some, but among all those contacted there was a curious one who did respond to my message: Cesar Ramos

Their INDELEBLE project was in a creative stage and they were determined to record their first single. After several meetings and creative processes we managed to bring to light the song “Sin Café”, the first song produced by Artefacto Studio and which became a sensation on the most popular radio stations in the city.
Before turning my Home Studio into a production company, I had already independently produced two songs: “Solo Yo” – Stefany (Sofia Reyes cover) and “Aterrizar” – Leandro Briceño, in addition to a long list of demos.

We are a company dedicated to the recording, production, mixing and mastering of phonographic works, podcasts, movies and more, currently made up of a team of professionals with extensive musical, radio and concert production experience, as well as audiovisuals.
Our vision is to professionalize music production in the city and offer a space where artists can exploit their creativity, assisted by people trained in different areas and with the breadth to develop artistic projects from different perspectives and criteria that maximize the work.
We currently have a room equipped to offer better comfort and where we can provide artists with everything they need to create their songs, microphones, instruments, monitoring, etc. As well as access to arrangers and session musicians. Some HIVE artists are already joining the list of creators of musical projects for the platform recorded in our studio, whom we have received with great affection and full support in their careers.
Working and supporting local artists has always been very important to us, seeing them grow and being proud of their work fills us with complete satisfaction, because they also contribute their talent to the city's historical and cultural content. It is a beautiful way to build a country.

ARTEFACTO STUDIO Nuestra visión es profesionalizar la producción musical en la ciudad y ofrecer un espacio donde los artistas puedan explotar su creatividad, asistidos por personas preparadas en diferentes áreas y con amplitud para desarrollar proyectos artísticos desde diferentes perspectivas y criterios que maximicen la obra. Actualmente contamos con un local acondicionado para ofrecer una mejor comodidad y donde podemos brindar a los artistas todo lo que necesiten para crear sus canciones, micrófonos, instrumentos, monitoreo, etc. Así como el acceso a arreglistas y músicos de sesión. Ya algunos artista de HIVE se están sumando a la lista creadores de proyectos musicales para la plataforma grabados en nuestro estudio, a quienes hemos recibido con mucho cariño y soporte total en sus carreras. Trabajar y apoyar a los artistas locales siempre ha sido muy importante para nosotros, verlos crecer y sentirse orgullosos de su trabajo nos llena plenamente de satisfacción, porque además aportan su talento al contenido histórico y cultural a la ciudad. Es una manera hermosa de hacer país. |
Musical genres.
At Artefacto Studio we have no musical genre preferences, although Pop and Rock have been the predominant ones. The work has been very heterogeneous in that sense. Artists like Lit Figo (trap), J-Arkan (Urbano), Stefany (Reggaeton), Edwards Tobia (Pop), Witin (Rock)… They are just some of those who have already worked with us and who are part of the Artefacto Studio´s family.
