A year ago today my life was completely different and I would never have dreamed that I would sit here a year later without knowing whether everything will ever be the same as it used to be.
We have been living a nomadic life for 5 years now and have stayed in the most beautiful places. I had never celebrated my birthday in October or Christmas and New Year at home in recent years, but this year everything is different.
Last year at the same time we were in Australia on the Gold Coast ...
... hiking with breathtaking views
... surfing at one of the best spots with an awesome skyline in the back.
...encounters with wild animals of all kinds
Financially this whole Pandemic Thing wasn´t too bad, But what good does the money do for me if I can't spend it on the only sensible thing ... traveling.
So let´s cross fingers that this shitshow will be over next year and we can live a free life again. Although I strongly doubt that everything will be the way it used to be.

So sad... so true. This time last year, we just relocated to the Azores. Back then, we had no idea that in just a few months, some covid would imprison us in the apartment, preventing us from enjoying what we came for: the natural beauties of the islands...
I remember that you´ve been there. Unbelievable that this is already one year ago. Amazing photos. I guess you don´t want to go there again that quickly?!

Thanks! Me too, I´ve never been there with a WHV. Everytime we´ve been there I was on a tourist visa, that is/was pretty easy to apply for and we always got granted. Guess this will change in the future.

This time last year i had just gotten back from California where i had spend a few months with my cousin and this month i had a holiday booked in Phuket , Thailand for 3 weeks but had to cancel out let's hope next year brings a better year for travel but i still doubt it won't kick till mid-year.
Glad you got to see the Gold Coast before the pandemic i am living not far there my home town is Byron Bay.
I always wanted to travel to down the west coast of the states. Great you´ve been there. I actually had flights for may for Phuket as well. I´m happy that I´ve been to Australia many times, I guess next year we´ve to skip it.
Yep i was lucky to spend about 6 months traveling the west coast of the states i was really looking forward to seeing more of Thailand i spend a month in Koh Samui which i absolutely loved well maybe see you in Phuket next year...lol 😊🙏
