Having a home base is cool. Especially if you like it. But dude for trade shows, the amount of time available in Vegas for trade shows, should everything go smoothly and no hard feelings, yata yata and all that, I'd erase the travel part.
Get a spot in Henderson or Summerlin over there by Red Rock. Work yourself to death for the next however many decades and call it a wrap. Make Eugene a nice place to visit when you have time.
Its a dirty game and town. Most of my former coworkers only travel to Vegas to work now. Gotta get in and then get out before the target on the back gets bigger and brighter.
