The Alice Network is my first spy novel and first book from the author (Kate Quinn). The Alice Network is a historical fiction mixed with suspense and a love story. It is set both during WW1 and after WW1; showcasing constant flashbacks between the past (during WW1) and present( after WW1)for one of the main characters (Eve).
Each of the main characters have different personalities and exude emotions readers can feel. While reading this book, one could feel tuned to the characters and the whole story comes to life just like a movie. The feeling of fear, grief, love, hope, betrayal and search of justice could be felt throughout the book.

Everything started when Charlie made her way to the doors of Eve in search of her close cousin. Charlie believed finding her cousin could help her make a decision on how to live her life while living with her cousin. She wanted to find and have what they both had while growing up, and the only way she could get what she wanted was getting Eve's help.

At first, Eve is portrayed as cold and stubborn; yet confident, she was against the idea of helping Charlie but eventually gave in. Eventually, this search will give readers a closer look to who Eve really is; and how different events morphed her to what she is in the present day. The continuous search of Charlie's cousin is what brings out the realness of each main character and helps shed the false personalities they had to put on.

This novel brought about a new interests in historical/biographical fiction. I just got The Tattooist of Auschwitz due to several talks about it been really good and I'm looking forward to also enjoying it and recommending it.

I won't lie I had a little difficulty creating this post because this is my first time giving a book recommendation. I was trying to give a summary of the book while only skimming through the surface without giving too much details or spoilers. I'm still trying to understand how to do this and get better, and any suggestions will really be helpful.
And thanks for viewing my post 🤗🤗.
