Hello hivers! It's cool to be here and I am glad to be on this platform. I have just been introduced to hive anyway, and if you had guessed that I am new here, believe me, you were absolutely correct. My name is Mfonobong Peter Edet and I am simply known on hive as @fonpet . Sounds great, right?
A LITTLE BRIEF ABOUT MY BACKGROUND
I am God's unique creature and I strive to achieve excellence virtually in everything that I do. I am from Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom state in Nigeria. This is my base at the moment. As a typical Nigerian and an Akwa Ibomite, I had first acquired the Ibibio language as my mothertongue before I proceeded to learn the English language as my second language and I can fluently communicate with these two languages. Besides these two languages,I have keen interest in learning at least two other indigenous languages and one other language that is internationally adopted as a lingua franca.
At the moment, I am an undergraduate in the prestigious University of Uyo and English education is my discipline.
MY OUTSTANDING FEATURES
Two among many of my lovely, enviable and natural features are my dark complexion and my shortness. Yes, you heard me right,I am not too tall, but definitely not a manikin.
MY LIKES
I like listening to good and cool christian music and reggae songs. For reggae, Lucky Dube has been my all time favourite because he sings reality. I love reading literature and having fun with the children. These are the things that I derive pleasure in doing. You can call them my hobbies.
I love children passionately and I can easily make friends with them. As someone who is so fond of children,I devote a greater part of my time to them, just to make them feel loved.
I strongly believe that,if we can give our children the right education and upbringing,we will not only succeed in leading them into a brighter future but will also birth a future that will be free of violence and moral decadence.
WHY I AM HERE
I love literature too, not because I'm an English student,l love it because I have a flair for writing and being on hive gives me the opportunity to maximize my talent as an up and coming writer. With amazing communities on hive, I'll be able to connect and make friends with people from different stratas of life,as no man is known to have succeed without the companionship of another.
In conclusion,I want to say thank you to my Pastor,@ekotmordemy for bringing me here. I'm happy and grateful.
