People have certainly become complacent which is what's behind the second wave in Melbourne. They are isolated from the rest of the country now, so hopefully it doesn't come down here. Faith is having testing conducted for cancer as there were complications prior to the operation, which never went ahead. I'd rather not say much here at this point as we don't know where things stand.

There's a lot of wankers not taking it as seriously bas they probably should in Melbourne. They will when people start to cark it again.
Yep, that's pretty sad to hear, that a few people's ignorance and just pure selfishness is going to get thousands of lives into hospital. I'm seeing the same thing here across Malaysia too, and though our cases are only in the single-digits on most days, it's concerning that people have become so blasé with the guidelines. People are bumping shoulders, without distancing or masks in sight!
Time will tell what the result is but I think we will be dealing with this covid thing for a long time to come.
Hmm... Sad thought to ponder on, but I think you're right. Even with a vaccine at the ready, there'll be those anti-vaxxers who somehow believe that it'll cause autism, or some other nonsense. So long as there's people who refuse to fight Covid, this virus is going to be a shadow that'll stand over the rest of us.
