I had eaten beans and plantain that morning before my IT defence. We were being divided into 6 groups, 13 persons in each group in my department for the defence. Not up to 12mins when the defence started, I had the seriously urge to fart. My inner thought told me to take a proper excuse and go ease myself but another voice in me said Hey Geyzee you can go through it, you've got a strong and reliable system, It's just few minutes you'd be done with the few questions that would be asked of you. Without a second thought I adhered to the later voice in me because I had the superpower of controlling my system expecially holding my urine for long, not excreting for days, holding my sneeze etc. I tried so hard to stop it because it would cause a serious disturbance in our supervisors little ventilated office. The room had an air condition so it was fully closed. But the more I tried to prevent it the more it release from my anus. My registration number was almost approaching EG/CE /694 and our supervisor was on EG/CE /692, just 2 numbers away. I comforted myself of how strong I am and how I'd be able to pull through till the storm of destruction is over. Puuuuuuuuuuuuummm! It came out so accidentally and very Loud like a Lion roaring in the jungle, that the defence halted and everyone had to turn towards my direction. I was sweating profusely with my suit on. The defence had to stop because the odour could not go outside of the room. Everyone went outside the room. I didn't know whether to join them or stay behind since I was caught in the act. I just remained there. I wished the earth had swallowed me or I had the superpower of disappearing or doing something magical like possessing Thanos super power. It was an unbelievable moment of how my system could fail me in such an awful way. I couldn't even stand to answer most of the questions asked when it came to my turn. The good thing is that our supervisor knew its in the human nature, I didn't fail the defence, though I had a less grade. But anytime I recall that day, it relieves my stress and brings much laughter to my day. π

I think by now if you feel somehow you would not want to hold it again. Anyway it's good that such memories brings laughter to you now. Thank God you didn't fail the defense π.
