Rule 1:

Never lose your password. Make sure you copy your password to your Gmail or as a document on your phone.

Rule 2- Introduce yourself:

Your first post on any of this platform should be to introduce yourself. A detailed write-up about who you are and what you intend to be doing accompanied with your photo will go a long way to help you. A lot of people UpVote newcomers as a way of supporting them and welcoming them to the platform remember to use the " introduce yourself tag" as your first tag in the article.

Rule 3- Be original:

Please do not copy and paste; nobody will UpVote. They have a system that detects copied articles. If you want to bring in an article that is not yours then you must reference the website you got it from. Better still ensure that whatever you post is original. Always referenced the pictures that you use that are not yours. For you to be original, it is easier if you post about the things you like e.g. dogs cars sports etc

Rule 4-Be consistent:

Consistency is the key to any successful thing. At first it will be discouraging, you may not get the kind of Upvotes that you want but keep going. Just make sure you post at least once a day. This is another reason why you must bring in what you're passionate about if you're just looking for UpVote and posting all sorts you will burn out and lose interest easily. Let's say you like to research about dogs, you can do a 7-day write-up where each day you get to talk about a different breed of dog, it's pros and cons of owning it. That way you have something to post for 7 days non-stop.

Rule 5- Have in Niche:

Having a niche will help people know what you are bringing in to the platform. Don't just go about posting pictures today and tomorrow you're posting videos and the next you're posting about sports and the next day about art. Such inconsistency only make it obvious that you are after the Upvotes and nothing else, that is why in your introductory post you should tell people what you'll be posting about so they know what to look out for when they visit your channel. In platform like Hive, a niche will go a long way in choosing your community and building yourself up in that community. So create a niche for yourself and people can know what you offer

Rule 6- Engagement:

This is the most important part of becoming outstanding; you must engage in the community. I will try my best to breakdown various ways of engaging in the community.

First, you have to engage like minds so it will be easier to build followers. The more followers you get, the more Upvotes you are likely to be having. You don't just expect people to follow you if you don't have something to offer to them that is why I started by listing those rules of being consistent, being original. They will help you in building followers.

Now, we all know of the saying "you reap what you sow" so you don't expect people to UpVote you when you don't do the same to others. Spend time on the platform find articles that interest you- UpVote them most especially give good comments; not just: "nice article" or "beautiful photo". Give a detailed description of what you think of the person's write up or post. That way, the person will know that you are indeed following and would want to check you out also. Reach out to other members in the community let them feel your presence in their post.

If this helpful to you then
