Video: Finding Hope in an Unparalleled Spring

in OCD4 years ago (edited)

The other day, I took the entire day and put this video together to spread some hope and encouragement to anyone who might need some of both. Especially lately, hope and encouragement are essential commodities.

I’ve been spending a lot of time and effort lately just trying to stay positive and to spread encouragement whenever and wherever I can. Not only do I desire to try to bring balance to all of the negativity that is splayed out all over most social media, but also just want to help share the message of the hope one can find in Christ. At this point, I don’t know what else to do but to keep on keeping on with a positive message, and hope it brings some sunshine into your day. I pray that everyone is hanging in there during this difficult season. We’ll get through this together. It doesn’t make it easy, but it makes it possible.

Voiceover Transcript:

Hope is a big concept.

Spring is a time of rebirth. The flowers are beginning to bloom. The days are finally getting longer. It’s a time when hope is evident all around us.

But this spring is different. We are living in a new normal.

This season...this spring...is unparalleled to our lifetime.

It seems in many ways that life as we know it is on a weird kind of pause.

But the Lord’s work is never on hold. The Lord’s work in us is never on hold. The joy we can find in rebirth through salvation is eternal.

We must have hope of the deliverance through this time.

John Piper says that “Biblical hope not only desires something good for the future — it expects it to happen. And it not only expects it to happen — it is confident that it will happen.”

Maybe you’re feeling uncertain. Maybe you’re having a tough time. Your feelings are valid. Acknowledge your feelings, but don’t get bogged down in them. Put that Biblical hope into practice—especially now.

We will get through this together. You are not alone in this.

Pray.

Have faith.

Have hope.

The trees are still in bloom. The rains still bring the flowers. Hope is still evident. Cling to God’s promises, and find your hope.

God’s got this. God’s got you.

Thanks for watching. <3
