Hive is a transparent network and there's pretty much no secret apart from your private keys and if you choose to be anonymous. Other than that (I think) you can access all the transactions that's on the chain.... if you are a clever programmer/dev/coding wizard. There are plenty of them around who churns out some magic tools to make our lives easier on Hive. Here's a selection of my favourite.

Have you ever wondered who has muted you on Hive? Now you can find out with this nifty tool. Ouch!!! 15 people have muted me on Hive!!!!😆
If you look at the top of the page, this tool does more than that. You can check who's post you have reblogged and who has reblogged your post. It gives you the latest 20 entries. You can also check the incoming and outgoing delegations for any account. Last and not the least, you can see the witness votes for any account. This is very useful if you want to see the entire witness list and who you have voted for. If you have any spare witness votes or if any of the witness you have previously voted for have gone offline, please update your votes and fully utilise all 30 votes.

This is a revamp of Steem Friends which went off line a couple of years ago due to the cost of accessing Hive SQL. It used to be my favourite tool and I was very happy to see it come back on line again recently. With the previous tool, I could look up who upvoted me, on which posts and value. In addition, I could look up the comments and reply between two accounts and on which post. The revamped version doesn't have the upvotes by post data and the account engagement information yet. Hopefully this will be bought back very soon as well. In the meanwhile, I can only see who are my biggest supporters. Thank you people!

Sometimes I know I spoke to someone previously about something, but it's so difficult to find a particular comment on Hive. Plus engagement is very important to grow your network on Hive, so it's nice to know how my relationship developed with a particular account on Hive. Afterall, friends are what makes Hive a great place. Since Steem Friends went offline, I have always wanted to see how I can find out who I spoke to, when and on which post. A few weeks ago I approached @eroche to see if he can help me out. He was really great and whipped up this very useful Hive Engagement tool overnight!!!
As you can see this is the engagement between eroche and myself that goes back to 2017. It stopped for about two years as @eroche went offline and he came back recently. There are 77 communications between us and they are all listed as a clickable link. The best thing I love about this is the search function. If you're looking for a specific comment and you know it was related to, say travel, you can word search this to narrow down the results. Neat!!!
@eroche's tool provides a lot more data on the blockchain and user level https://eroche.shinyapps.io/hiveanalytics/. I find the user level analytics particularly useful.
Here's an overview of my posts and comments, and I've made over 15X comments over post. There's no guideline on what's a good or bad number, but I'd say if your posts are more than comments, you really should assess your engagement activity on Hive. The dot chart is another interesting feature to see the number of upvotes and comments, and post payout for all your posts. And if you click on any of the dots, it will show you the date and title of the post. That's not a clickable link, but I'll come onto that in a minute.
The tool also shows your post and comment activity over time. In my case, I'm posting less now compared to when I first started. Instead, I'm trying to put more effort into commenting.
Last but not the least, my favourite part of this tool is the list of posts. It's a nightmare to find a post on Hive, and you have to scroll through your entire blog which takes forever if you've been around for a long time. This tool will give you a list of all your posts with the date it was created, the number of votes and comments it got, plus the post payout. And most importantly, you get a clickable link for it. This is absolutely Hivegodsend to search for posts on Hive!

This last tool is more of a novelty tool than anything else. Due to inflation on Hive, your Hive power is growing all the time and you can actually see how it grows in real time. The counter has 7 decimal places so even if you have very low HP you can still see the counter move every few seconds. This is a great feel good tool!

These are some awesome tools. I honestly didn't realize any of them exist. I know some people have been messing around with some of the back end database stuff, but this is really cool. I remember a lot of tools I used to use no the old platform and I was kind of sad when they went away. One of them had a really great curation tool so you could maximize your earnings back when that mattered more.
Yeah, it's sad some of devs for the old tools either decided to stay behind or just disappeared. As to maximising curation, I gave up a long time ago, it was just too stressful trying to work out how things work 😅

The muted check is pretty nifty tool, also a bit scary, do you really want to find out? Lol I checked and have 11 people that muted me. Based on the amount of real followers I have, i guess it must mean that I’m pretty annoying.

Ha ha, yes. The funny thing about muting is they found you and are following you and then are muting you? Or maybe they are in the same community and mute you cause you see your feed there. I wonder how people see other people's feed enough to want to mute if they are not following and then they can just unfollow?
