It's been a while since I've this much fun with my clothes on...

Anyone that's read my posts over this last four years, knows my passion for strategic games.
Thinking is good.

From chess, to war gaming on a tabletop with thousands of figures, to strategic board games - 'Axis and Allies' is a good, example of this type of game.

I love engaging the brain...

This post isn't about any of those games mentioned above - but of a new game, altogether!

It may be the best game that I've played to date.

It's called 'Topple the Oligarchy'- the game of De-thrones.

In this game, the first thing you have to do is rally support around you, and in doing so you gain power.
Unless you gain power first, you can't really do very much in the rest of the game....

At the center of the game, stands the Oligarch(s), who are sat on a throne that looks, remarkably, like an old shitter...

The oligarch(s) are in the game are big, slow, not too bright, and full of hubris.
They belong to 'the Haves' tribe.

The Havenots tribe, are those trying to de-throne the oligarch(s) from their shitter.

If the oligarchs gain more power during game play, they're given large bags of 'stake' (plus bags of cheeto's, and bottles of coke) .
The oligarch(s) are deemed to have won the game when they can't see there own penises.
This health issue is due to bloaters syndrome (BS).
This is caused by too much Hubris - which is due to their army of sycophants and psychophants forever blowing too much smoke up their arses.
*The sycophants and psychophants are the soldiers of the oligarchs.

The syco and psycho, possess the powers of propaganda (and using their weapons of 'words salads' on any unsuspecting listeners.
They also have a unique ability to make the most exciting things on the planet look as dull as dishwater.

As a player of the havenot tribe, once you've gained power, you'll then need to implement strategies that will move the oligarch(s) - from the center of the board, over to the edge of the board.
Being naturally sloth like - in both thought and action, this can take some time in doing.

The Havenots tribe can only win this game by working together and employing strategies that make the oligarchical haves move their very large arses away from 'rewards mountain' where they like to live.

These strategies can involve many different tactics.
(this game comes complete with a Saul Alinsky's book, 'Rules for Radicals'. In this, he gives you helpful hints to help you along your way in 'the quest').

The fun part of the game ( I've only been playing it 6 days), is the sheer amount of diverse strategies that you can plan out ready to employ.
Anyone wishing to participate in this game is welcome to join.
Anyone.
You can play it all different levels , to suit yourself and your commitment level.
In this game , some will like to help 'topple the oligarch' by supporting the more active players from the sidelines.
These are 'the silent army' players.

And some like to play a more active role.

It's multiplayer game played in different phases, with a minimum of 400 players.
(Finding 400 players is called 'the organizer phase').

I only really started this phase myself, yesterday - and I've already had emails numbering in double digit figures, expressing a preference of wishing to play this new and exciting game!
(11 is a double digit figure, ok?)

Stake size.

'Stake size' is a number that shows 'the power' of the oligarch or player, in the game.
All members of the Haves tribe and Havenots tribes, have some 'stake size' (which can change as the game progresses).

Each player has a mission.
My mission in this game is to shift the oligarch(s) from the center of the board and 'owning' as many sycophants and psychophants as I can, along the way.

being as this is the first time I've played this game, it soon became apparent my initial strategy - the gaining power phase - had to be altered.
"The first casualty of any battle plan , is when you try to execute it" (or something like that... there's lot of versions).
And so it was...

My 'operational HQ' is in a place situated off the main game board - it's called the 'Mewe' place.(the oligarch have similar place, called 'discord'- ironic,uh?)

After my first contact via my email address... [email protected] , it soon became apparent that not everyone wishes to hang out in 'the MeWe place', and would prefer anonymity from the other players - even though they are allies.
Many (most) said they would prefer email updates , rather than 'councils of war meetings'.
I'm very happy so far with the recruitment drive!

And so that option of 'anonymity' is now also available.
Verification of authenticity is still confirmed through the comments on the block chain.
...example (a made up example).
User @zyclonB wants to play the game - allying with myself.
I tell player @ZyclonB to look at a post by @Icouldbeanyone, and leave a comment with the words 'I like your post', on a specific post that I've given them.

Thus authenticity of the Hive user is confirmed!
Anonymity is protected.

'Hive' is the board - and the name of 'the ecosystem' - this the environment in which game play and moves occur.
This ecosytem is used throughout the entire game, but not exclusively.

Within this game, lies the mountain of rewards .
This is where the oligach(s) live.
The oligarchs use their magic to cast spells on the sycophants and psychophants, to keep them doing there bidding.
They're rewarded with steaks stake power, for being good 'stake slaves'.

The oligarch (and stake slave) can attack the Havenot tribe players on the board - by casting spells.
They tend to do this when their very sensitive ears are offended by other peoples words - or when their very thin skin has suffered abrasions, also due to nasty words from the Havenot tribes.
...This result of these being, that the havenot's crops get destroyed after a lot of hard work has been put into cultivating them.
The spells are normally cast within seven days of the crops being harvested, sometimes leaving the Havenots without any food to eat, and their families and children going hungry.

Moving on....

Once the 'gain power' phase of the game has been completed, the user then receives emails telling them how to enact the tactics.

They can choose to actively engage and help out with the maneuver, or they can act in a supporting role, in the background.

At present there are several strategies, which are then sub divided into two or three tactical operations.

The number of strategies can - and will - forever change.

Strategies and tactics are kept hidden from the oligarch(s).

Here's an edited excerpt from the book, Rules for radical, by Saul Alinsky p.131

Tactics.

We will either find a way or make one.
— Hannibal
.

TACTICS MEANS doing what you can with what you have.
Tactics are those consciously deliberate acts by which human beings live with each other and deal with the world around them.
...Here our concern is with the tactic of taking; how the Have-Nots can take power away from the Haves....
For an elementary illustration of tactics, take parts of your face as the point of reference; your eyes, your ears, and your nose.
First the eyes; if you have organized a vast, mass-based people's organization, you can parade it visibly before the enemy and openly show your power.
Second the ears; if your organization is small in numbers, conceal the members in the dark but raise a din and clamor that will make the listener believe that your organization numbers many more than it does.
Third, the nose; if your organization is too tiny even for noise, stink up the place....

(this is not, I repeat, NOT Saul Alinsky)

No oligarchs, sycophants or psychophants, (loosely named 'midwits') were hurt, during the making of this post.

Sort:

Well, I have to say that this 'Topple the Oligarchy' game sounds pretty interesting and fun. I would join. But then, I also have to tell you, that I've never been a gamer and I suspect I don't play too well with rules either hahahaha.

Actually, I believe I've been somehow playing my own version of this very same partisan's game from day one almost five years ago. Always playing it immaculately alone from the trenches of the strictest solitary confinement of this very same battlefield and Gameboard. };)

yah, that's the problem - this game is mathematically impossible to win, solo...(I've been tying it , to no avail...stoopid naivety! lol).

You can always offer support from behind the lines...I'll be in the trenches.

You can always offer support from behind the lines...

Yeah! Don't worry! I'll be your C4 specialist and will bring with me enough matches to light up the molotovs. };)

I was thinking more along the lines of making me a nice a cup of coffee, when I needed one....
If violence is the answer, then you failed to piss someone off adequately enough, at some previous moment in time. (either that, or your dealing with a violent psychopath).

What? aren't you sipping C4 & Molotov brands of coffee anymore?

molotov coffee's are for the young uns..

Funny, but this just might be a sinking ship, so be sure to be close to the life rafts too. ;-)

I AM the life raft...lol
