As I mentioned in a previous post, for the next three months I'm gonna be ditching my business- my income - and focusing solely on posting (not just here) tweeting, and generally annoying anyone that loves authority.
I do not need much dosh to live.
No debts, no stresses, and definitely no consumer addictions to feed.(hell, I don't even drink anymore).
I'm going 'all in' - as I'd intended to when I first joined steem.
It will be an interesting experiment - again - but with far more vigor this time...
Yup, I have the luxury of being able to do this - and can return to (if needs be) to my business and income - without any problems whatsoever.
I'm just soooooo privileged! lol
But.... at least upto the US election time - I'm gonna be here (online).
Full time.
Which brings me to the reason for this post....
I'm actually getting organized!
Yes, I know that mean seem like bit of a stretch to some who now me - but it isn't.
1/ Hive
My twitter will be linked to this account, and I will be using this place to link replies/posts in twitter. This may bring in a lot more new accounts hopefully - but not for the same reasons that most people here , are promoting Hive.
I will solely be promoting the benefits of joining Hive - as a safe haven for those being censored elsewhere.
My 'sell' to be here, will have nada to do with cryptocurrencies and 'going to the moon'.
They will have ALL to do with a place to be, so people can write, and express themselves - free speech.
As simple as that.
This could be seen as both good news and bad news.
The good news, from my perspective, is that we will hopefully attract the kind of users, whose perspectives are based in principles - and not expediency.
Politics is downstream from culture, and right now the cultural zeitgeist in the west, is changing - and currently in a state of flux.
Leftism is dying - in my opinion - but not quite dead yet - and as such, by attracting the sane people NOW, not only will we make this place a much healthier environment, it may well give 'us' first mover advantage...again. (yeah, ambitious, I know, but so what?).
It's a long term opportunity that flies in the face of gamification and algorithms...
The bad news is that if this happens, many 'cozy' little enclaves of hive will be not quite so cozy anymore.
I would go a far as to say downright fucking uncomfortable.
Creative destruction, isn't that what they call it?
Bring it on!!
So, that's my promotion efforts I'll be doing in terms of Hive and twitter. (and showcasing @threespeak of course).
I hope @theycallmedan and @nathanmars will support me in this endeavor, even though I WILL NOT be pushing hive - in any way - from the crypto angle.
For me , this is all about shifting 'the demographics' on hive.
So, thats my 'Hive' part over with.
2/ Me!
This part has quite a lot to do with something that @practicalthought said to me in a comment, the other day - and my own state of mind. (I do have one, honest).
I will be spending many, many more hours online, from now on.
And that is crap for mental health - anyone's- not just myself.
Or it can be should I say - if you allow it to. (it has me, in the past)
In my reply to @practical thought, I mentioned that I'd much prefer to be talking about history, war gaming (and other stuff), rather than just politics and the general shitty state of affairs in the world today (and trying to get people to think - which is much harder than it looks).
So in that vein, I've decided to do my writing in a more 'compartmentalized' fashion. (I told you I was getting organized!)
Not only will I be writing my usual posts on this account, but will be splitting my other writing onto one of my other accounts (@bittenapple) .
This may come as some surprise to you, but I'm far from being just the politically driven persona, that you see on here.
If I had to 'put a number on' it, I'd hazard this is only 10% or less, of 'me'.
The other 90% has zero interest in politics and whats going on in the wider world.
I just wanna be left alone to do my own shit - but the authoritarian fuckers/lovers, insist on encroaching on me and they just won't let me be.
Never screw with someone who has everything (especially when none of it is materially based).
So, I'll be using the @bittenapple account to post my thoughts, feelings, and fiction - and other 'non political' kinda content.
The other side, of me.
THAT will help keep me sane, in this insane asylum (I hope!).
'Compartmentalizing' my work in this way, will help, I think...
Hopefully I'll also make some more moola in my 'time outs' from the fight.
....By writing about my more 'gentler' thoughts, and life experiences from travelling around the globe for so long. (Three bloody decades now!)

Culture is upstream from politics...and if we jump on that changing zietgiest early enough - We WILL have first mover , 'early adopter' advantage.
Gotta ditch the 'nice', and embrace the authentic...that's where it's 'gonna be at', people!

Funny you say that - I have three lakes within 400 metres on the land we live - for free fishing.( I used to love angling to, but my enthusiasm for it seems to have waned somewhat).
No time for fishing now, anyway! - I've got a job to do .
If you do get a few new users, and they need a small HP boost to get started, toward the end of the month I will have 125 HP to delegate out in 25 HP chunks to brand new users so they can post and comment. Just have them give me a shout out and if I still have some HP I will help your new users get a foothold in Hive.
