Aquél lindo día nos despertamos contentas porque sabíamos que aquella hermosa ciudad nos traería sin dudas muchas más aventuras y momentos que quedarían grabados en nuestra memoria.
That day we separated, my group would go to see the Recoleta Cemetery and the other would visit another part of the city. Perhaps you can think that a cemetery is not a pleasant place to visit, but as Silvina Bullrich: once said "My city, its houses, the Recoleta cemetery, above all this my life and my work is founded" and it is so, if we wanted to fully know the city, it was also necessary to know that place that is full of history for Argentines since the remains of Eva Perón rest there, a woman who undoubtedly continues to be loved by city dwellers.
Ese día nos separamos, mi grupo iría a conocer el Cementerio Recoleta y el otro conocería otra parte de la ciudad. Quizás se pueda pensar que un cementerio no es un lugar agradable para visitar, pero como dijo una vez Silvina Bullrich: “Mi ciudad, sus casas, el cementerio de Recoleta, sobre todo esto esta cimentada mi vida y mi obra” y es así, si queríamos conocer plenamente la ciudad era necesario también conocer ese lugar que además estaba cargado de historia para los argentinos ya que ahí reposaban los restos de Eva Perón, una mujer que sin duda sigue siendo querida por los citadinos.
Once there we were looking for that mausoleum for several minutes until we finally reached the place, the Mausoleum of the Duarte Family, which had many plaques of many of its followers and admirers; one of them caught my attention, it said: "Evita, eternal in the heart of the town".
Una vez allí estuvimos buscando por varios minutos aquél mausoleo hasta finalmente llegar al lugar, el Mausoleo de la Familia Duarte, que tenía muchas placas de muchos de sus seguidores y admiradores y uno llamó mucho mi atención “Evita, eterna en el corazón del pueblo”.
In that place we could see that there were many cats and they were very well cared for, they were fat and their fur was really beautiful, not only us, but many other tourists were entertained by playing with them and taking photos of them.
En ese lugar nos pudimos percatar que había muchos gatos y estaban muy bien cuidados, eran gordos y su pelaje era realmente hermoso, no solo nosotras, sino muchos otros turistas se entretenían jugando con ellos y tomándoles fotos.
After that visit, we were able to stroll in the neighborhood, along the Chabuca Granda promenade of the Recoleta square, and we spent a while, enjoying the peace that the place transmitted and the excellent weather, in addition to some caramelized nuts that are very common in the city streets. Nearby there was the Our Lady of Pilar Church which we also visited; we took the opportunity to visit a religious museum that was there.
Luego de esa visita, en las inmediaciones pudimos pasear por el paseo Chabuca Granda de la plaza recoleta y estuvimos un rato, disfrutando de aquella paz que transmitía ese lugar y el excelente clima, además de unos frutos secos garrapiñados que son muy comunes en las calles de la ciudad. Ahí cerca estaba la iglesia Nuestra Señora del Pilar la cual también visitamos y aprovechamos para visitar un museo religioso que había ahí.
At the end of that visit, it was time for lunch, so we stopped by the Recoleta Shopping Center to eat. That day my mother had the chance to go to a beauty salon and do her hair. When she left there, several city residents gave her compliments, it was a very pleasant and humorous situation.
Al terminar aquella visita, era hora de almorzar, así que pasamos por el Centro Comercial Recoleta para comer. Ese día mi mamá aprovechó para pasar por un salón de belleza y arreglarse el cabello, al salir de ahí, varios citadinos le echaban piropos, fue una situación muy agradable y jocosa.
Then we returned to our inn to rest and prepare for the next day.
Luego regresamos a nuestra posada a descansar para prepararnos para el siguiente día.

Puede sonar un poco tétrico, pero visitar el Cementerio de Recoleta es un paseo casi obligatorio si estas por esa zona. Suelen haber visitas guiadas y todo.
