HOW DID THE TREEFROG KNOW WHAT COLOR OUR HOUSE WAS?

in OCD4 years ago

I'm not sure how, but it knew!

While checking out the breeding Luna Moths on my son's window this morning, we noticed this Gray Treefrog as well. They can be a range of colors from Gray to Green, and combinations of various shades of them, but somehow, it seemed to be exactly what color our house is! Check this out. It should work in the paint department of the local hardware store or something. What a color-match... wouldn't you say?

I guess it looked at it... :)
I don't know about this exact species, but I wouldn't rule out that it can adapt its color to some degree, to better match the surface its sitting on. And to know what this surface looks like - they look at it.

Ha what a cute little guy! I have a bunch of baby green squirrel tree frogs where im at. One hangs out at our front porch light every night. We leave the light on so he can snag whatever bugs come towards the light.

Im becoming very tons of frogs. One hangs out by my window at night and his croaks are comforting.
