Hello my friend
Come back again with me @prabu, today I want to show you some of my pictures collection that was taken from the jungle with the Sumatran elephants
This is a rare opportunity, to visit an elephant farm just to have a post-wedding ordered by one of my regular newlyweds.
What's challenging about this is the journey to one of the Sumatran elephant breeding centers in the interior of North Aceh, to be precise in the Cot Girek area, Aceh Sumatra.
A number of mahot were ready to welcome us there, they looked compact wearing black t-shirts and riding an elephant at the entrance to the Sumatran elephant captivity. This is the Cross Response Unit [CRU] whose task is to respond if there are wild elephants entering the settlements and community plantations.
Four tame elephants are tasked with protecting the settlements and community plantations there, all of them are elephants who have been trained to overcome the problem of wild elephants that are approaching residential areas, the task of these tame elephants is to lead them out of the community zone area
It's great to be here to see Poe Meurah, Poe Merah is the Acehnese people's nickname for the Sumatran Elephant. Sumatran elephants have become a part of the history of the Acehnese society in the past. IN contemporary times, their existence is threatened with extinction, due to hunting for their ivory.
