I came to this conclusion about 10 years ago when I had a lot of time on my hands to do the research: Almost none of the conspiracy theories are true. Even if they were true, there is no actionable information in the ones that are. Almost all of the evil in the world done by public figures is done in public, in broad daylight, and it's 99% legal for them to be doing it. The conspiracy theories are there to keep the focus of skeptical individuals away from what's really wrong with the world.
