Laundry business often called dry cleaning business involves washing, drying, starching and ironing of clothes or clothings for individual(s). It is a business that requires no special talent and it's very profitable with low risk. The business does not require huge capital and it can be operated as a full-time or part-time business. Also, it is not gender selective.
With the growing rate of unemployment in Nigeria, one can venture into the business to be self-employed and be able to cater for ones well-being. Though, many Nigerian youths see the business as a slow means to being rich due to the get-rich-quick syndrome in our society but have forgotten the verse of the Bible that encourages little beginning (Zechariah 4:10).
It is often said that you are addressed the way you dress; no reasonable human will want to attend a function or meeting in dirty or unironed outfit (cleanliness is next to Godliness), this makes laundry an essential service to every human's daily activity.

STEPS TO STARTING A LAUNDRY BUSINESS
Get a Location: A good business location helps tremendously. However, if one do not have huge fund or capital to get a shop, one can start by using his or her house.
Get Equipment: Equipment needed are pressing iron, washing machine, ironing table, detergent, washing basins, starch, generator, nylons and tags. Although, for someone who lacks huge capital, pressing iron, detergent, washing basins,starch and nylons (for packaging) are the most needed equipment.
As the business grows, one can design customized nylon & tags, washing machine and other sophisticated equipment.

After-which, the clothes are sorted for washing, starching and sun-drying.
Clothes being sun-dryed
Thereafter, the clothes are being ironed.
Finally, the clothes are folded and packaged in nylons for delivery.
Laundry business is a business that needs dedication and quality marketing with huge profit if invested in.
