I agree and what I have found is that these days, the nerds are fit. I am pretty sure that most of the management team I work with run or could run marathons. I know the CEO in his 50s runs between 15-25 km a day :) Tech nerds.
I am looking forward to eventually getting back to working out again, but at the moment I make do with what I can at home.

That is an incredibly long run. I ran cross country in high school, and the longest that I would run is about ten miles. Good luck with the at home method. You really can get a lot accomplished that way, and if you are strength training at all, calisthenics are a great way to go. They add strength and muscle without some of the unnecessary bulk that weight training can offer.
I have never been a distance runner, unless chasing a ball around a field :) Do you still run today?
At the moment, I am just trying not to get too weak or fat, resistance bands and stretching mostly.
No, I smoke cigarettes which is extremely bad for me and a complete waste of money. My girl and I have decided to quit, but it is a recent development and we have a long way to go. Running certainly would help with quitting though, I would think.
