This post is based on thinking I have had for a while and have very loosely written about before, but I think it is important to keep the development going. One of the things that I find frustrating is when people say that content is repetitive and they expect a creator to keep mixing it up daily - yet they go to watch a football player play football, and a tennis player play tennis.
Repetition.
That is a good place to start with this post where they say something along the lines of, the definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results. I feel that is what a lot of people are doing now, which is what I have written about before. People are protesting in the streets and appealing to their authorities to change things over and over for decades, expecting different results.
The economic system we have created and support, is designed to siphon value from the bottom to the top, letting only enough to trickle back down to keep the game rolling. However the efficiency of the vacuum has increased and is taking more than it can return to keep the bottom fed, so it is eating itself. Yet, we appeal to the people who hold the pipe to change the system, but they are in a position of impossibility, as we all act on incentive and they are incentivized to keep the extraction going - no matter the outcome of cataclysmic failure we are approaching.
Repetition in asking for permission.
What we are doing is taking the position of beggar and slave, asking them to stop beating us and instead throw a few coins so we can buy a meal - but, that goes against the rule of thumb - if something can be done to increase shareholder wealth by a dollar, it is worth doing - distribution is a cost - not a profit. It doesn't matter if the societal benefits to doing so far outstrip the monetary gains in importance, the entity of business doesn't care for the frailties of humans.
What needs to happen is that paradigm shift that pushes us to change our behave and in this case, stop asking permission to act and take the responsibility and ownership for ourselves and act accordingly.
I hear arguments about how "taking to the streets" has changed social norms and culture and how important it is, but is it effective? You can argue that changes have happened through this, but that doesn't mean there aren't better ways to affect those factors. The problem with social protests is that they are very energy intensive due to their nature and while it gets attention from the public, the inefficiency of the system means that only incremental surface level changes need be introduced to appease the people.
The streets should be silent.
Find out what incentivizes the authorities and corporations and you find out their weakness. Then target it. Instead of protesting, instead of appealing, instead of begging and asking for permission - hit them where it hurts - in their economy. This isn't a boycott of their financial products though, as that would mean to go without. Rather, this is a replacement of the system that empowers them with a system that empowers us.
Just imagine, if all of those protestors around the world pulled all of their assets out of the banks, investments and institutions that they could and put it into Bitcoin. Tens of millions of people making the decision to no longer beg for better and instead, support better. I am not saying imagine the astronomical price increase - I am saying, imagine the development that would take place once there is a support base of users willing to use it, as that is where they hold their wealth now, that is where their skin is in the game.
Different doesn't come, until different is done.
People don't like repetition, yet live a life of automatic response without thought. Sixty years ago, there wasn't the possibility to do other than take to the streets, but now we have digital superhighways. Billions of people connected with 99% of them wanting change, wanting a shift in power. Yet, we have become so accustomed to the conditions of local slavery that we do not realize the power of economic mobility we wield as the consumer force we are.
Rather than have our wealth extracted to the top, we extract the wealth of our activity and attention from the streets as beggars and build an independent economy that is opt-in and has no central point of control, just people wanting and working toward a better life.
For thousands of years we have oppressed ourselves through repetition of conditioning, because we couldn't organize ourselves with enough will or support at scale to make a change. Scale matters and it can't depend on nationality or background to be the uniting factor, as they are hijacked narratives used to control us, to keep us as slaves. But a uniting factor is needed - rather than dissatisfaction with the conditions, perhaps the will to work toward improving conditions can be at the core.
Do different. Be different.

They do?
Yes! Someone else who gets it! If you want those who hold the pipe to change what they're doing to your benefit, you need to give them an option which benefits them more than what they're currently doing. Unfortunately, we have nothing to offer them that's better than what they're already getting.
Yeah they do. I see some "repetition" as refinement. But a lot of people look at general topic without acknowledging the nuanced changes.
So we create something. Shifting the value that they crave onto blockchains will force them to shift too. Look at what corona has done for some business, it is better to wear the cost of change instead of miss out on all profits, so they have spent money to expand their delivery profiles. Some profit is better than no profit, so we make that the choice they have - work with us, or don't work at all.

tokens.I couldn't agree any more with each and every word.
I believe as this whole crypto thing builds, more and more people will realize that options are available, even as we speak. Celsius, the crypto designed by Alex Mashinsky can help people free themselves from financial institutions.
His slogan UNBANK YOURSELF, speaks directly to this topic.
Ideas like that of Uniswap, aim at putting people in charge of their own financial wellbeing.
The pooling of resources as a community, while being paid interest for your part of the pool, is revolutionary
The crypto space is still in its infancy, but coming on strong.
The big boys had better look out.
This has been long awaited and I think that Hive could see the same attitude finally come into play also. what is brilliant about it is that unlike the "traditional" methods, this is borderless and the amount required to get in scales to the individual. Again, with free transactions on Hive, even micro amounts are possible. :)
There is so much potential in the entire industry that the current highs or lows are irrelevant.

Thanks for the engage tokens, my friend.
The swings we see in the $$$ of crypto are irrelevant at this point, what is important is the development of tools that will allow us to take control of our own situation. With this space being in its infancy, violent swings can expected.
The trick is to be able to hold on for a while ye. It is a challenge these days with so many potential draws on capital. For me to be able to stack anything, I have to essentially forego most other "pleasure" components of life that require money. Luckily, I got married prior to me getting into crypto ;D
Any crypto that we can hang onto will hopefully lighten financial woes in the future.
Hodl, hodl, hodl.
At least your wife married for your good looks. If your paths would have crossed, let's say in a few years from now, you would have to wonder if she just married you for your money.

We still live in that capsule that takes us away from the world as we are and we cannot go beyond it. Since we mainly doubt ourselves and doing the same has become a way of life.
Yes, we all say that repetitive is repetitive, but what the hell is repetitive in these times.
It is certainly a complex and profound issue, but as a society we do not want to look further but as lonely individuals, we can get the answer and perhaps give it a 360 degree turn.
Assuming that everything is possible and that the only thing crazy is to stay without doing anything.
I think that while everything is possible, the choice might freeze in place, so rather than doing something, we do nothing or, act like we do something even if it leads to nothing of consequence. Perhaps consequence is also a problem these days, as while we want to do a lot, we do not want to expose ourselves to the negative consequences of our actions.
Exactly dear gentleman!

tokens.@tarazkp, Yes, sometimes people do make or give Hypocritic Statements or Suggestions. Stay blessed.
We all do sometimes - sometimes between us saying something and doing, there is a time difference where we have learned more information and adjusted. We shouldn't always be held to our past, which is why this trend of dredging up 10 year old tweets is so toxic.
In a way these kind of Human Behaviours brings in Duality Chaos. Stay blessed.
Ahh the practical side of neurohacking, actually making alternatives XD
and having to work around the existing system's desperate attempts to squash all alternatives at any and all cost
It is a challenge for sure and even if we create the alternative, it is going to be an uphill battle to adoption. Perhaps there will be some early movers with some clout that will drive enough on to start building gravity.
There's always uphill battles to adoption. Even the ubiquitous companies struggled to get a foothold once upon a time :)
Most people I know in my generation 'Baby Boomers', are settled in retirement quite comfortably. Not rich, well maybe a few I would tag that way, but are where they are and are done with looking further into the future as far as investing. They are satisfied, so they have no interest in learning about the crypto world. It's just too complicated to learn on their own.
Thankfully our son @ryan313 convinced us to jump in to crypto curriences years ago. Even though I have learned so much from him and also reading others on #hive, I still have only convinced my best friend to start investing some of her savings into crypto.
To hear her say the $$$ she has sitting in a bank earning little or no interest, made me shiver.
There is no question in my mind, crypto is the furture, it will change the way we handle our OWN financial futures. Rack it and stack it. Be patient.
Many thanks to my personal consultant .
I think that many grew up in that period of opportunity after the war where saving and earning on savings was possible, plus the vacuum left in the job sector from the war itself. Jobs were easier to come by, interest rates encouraged savings, growth was happening regularly. Unfortunately, I don't think the latest generation have access to the same conditions, so they have to find another way - crypto being a good place to start at least.
I know that for me personally, this might be my shot at actually making it to some kind of comfort level, as working as I do isn't likely to get there. It might be different for those who have inheritance backing, but that isn't my destiny :)
Although my life is a generation before you, I believe your generation is on to something that will change the lives of many. Do not change course, your opportunity to create wealth is sitting on your lap. I believe those that invest now in crypto currencies, with information and research, will see great success,
At least that's my hope for my children.
To stop being slaves to 'THE MAN"
