Guilty in Love (an original poetry)

in OCD3 years ago

It's time for another late night poetry. During my break time, I was unwinding by reading some BL comics update when a certain scene got me asking, "Is it a crime to fall in love?

One of the characters who is gay fell in love with his friend and everyone else is judging him. Everyone seems to be bullying him and bad-mouthing him simply for falling in love with someone of the same sex. And to let out my frustrations, I made this poem.

Guilty in Love

He fell in love and broke his heart
Struggling to keep the pieces from falling apart
Moving on seems harder than he thought
Trying to survive with all he's got
Insecurities swallowing even the last drop of pride
Despite everything... he still wanted to be by his side
He questioned himself a million times
Is falling in love an awful crime?
Sure his love for the same gender is unusual
But should there really be a standard? a usual?
The feeling of love is beyond our control
It emanates from the depths of our soul
So, if in this crime we're guilty as charged
Wouldn't everyone else be at large?

In the end, love wins!
Even if the basis of this frustration is a BL comic, it's really relatable in real life. Despite this, I hope everyone get the chance to find happiness in love.
See you again! (^^,)/
