In fact, colon is really underrated. I could have gone into the details. Basically, it is a "forward connector." This is why it works:
I keep pushing you forward. Like this:
Every colon takes you closer to to the destination.
Really makes reading a breeze. And as far as spaces between the paragraph goes, all about readability.
I already see you are using good paras, image subheads, and nice checkmarks. Looking good so far!
