There are lots of reasons to miss @theycallmedan on Twitter, but for today I'm just focusing on one of them. For a while there on a fairly regular basis (and I believe usually on Sundays), Dan would put out a tweet asking for the best Hive post you'd seen in the previous week, and he would go through the bazillion of replies, upvoting and/or reblogging a good number of them.
A couple weeks ago, I got the idea that I should try doing something similar, but with a twist.
Even though I hit double dolphin back in April 2020, and in August Dan gifted me an awesome delegation, my upvote is still not whale-sized enough to be particularly enticing. However, I do have some liquid Hive at my disposal (thanks again to the generosity of Dan, and with the help of @eddiespino), and @hivetips is generating some excellent attention off chain, so offering Hive rewards instead of upvotes seems like the perfect solution.
I also recognize though that not everyone is a fan of Twitter (and these days, pretty much the only reason I'm still there is to shout out about our decentralized home), so to help spread the love around twice as much, I'm making the same offer on the blockchain. Here it is...
