The character on the wall (let's call him Mr. Purple) is a little bit nervous. Why? Because he is so concerned that the painter (Mr. Painter) will erase him whereas Mr. Blue is hiding on the roof.
Somebody called Mr. Painter to get rid of the graffiti paintings on the walls. Or, maybe he himself is the owner of this little property and he just wanted to renovate this place. He came with the paint bucket. Started to paint... Just to see if the color will be a good match, he started to put a little here a little there... Until Mr. Purple gets into the scene and shows him a fist (fight). Then Mr. Painter stopped and thought again if it was really worth getting rid of this enlivened character.
Sneaky Mr. Blue is proud of himself that he thinks that he escaped (flight) from Mr. Painter. How he did that? Well... Drawings have their own lives, no? And what would you do if you were a graffiti in this situation, "fight or flight"?
Thoughts behind
My intention in this collage was a bit philosophical. Normally we experience the art from outside... We take our world as a reference. But what if the art comes alive and speaks from the inside? I thought this would be interesting.
First I draw the arm of Mr. Purple which is extending into the real world. This is the first step from inside to outside. Then I found 2 cartoonish figures (you can see the resources below) just to reinforce this step. Also, I added some strokes around figures... And as a result, several drawings are playing their own script in the real world. They are acting not alone but within a kind of connection.
